The next morning, I woke up feeling a rush of excitement and anticipation. Hastily, I got ready, brushing my hair and slipping into my uniform, my thoughts lingering on the previous night and Kiyoko's encouraging words. Could today be the day something changes between Kuroo and me?
As we gathered for breakfast, I helped Kiyoko and Yachi with preparations, mirroring the routine from the day before. I couldn't resist stealing glances at Kuroo; he looked as handsome as ever, his confident smile lighting up his face. Catching my eye, he gave me a small, knowing grin that made my heart skip a beat.
After we settled at our tables, we reminisced about the previous day's events, bonding a bit more with each other and the other teams. Soon after breakfast, we all headed to the gym for the day's practice matches.
I assisted in setting up the bench, arranging equipment, and filling water bottles before settling down to watch. Today, we were playing against Karasuno. My attention was drawn to Kuroo; his athleticism was impressive, but it was his genuine passion and dedication that truly captivated me. I found myself unable to look away, my gaze following his every move. Occasionally, he glanced my way, flashing a charming smile that made my cheeks flush.
Watching him excel in his element, so passionate and skilled, deepened my feelings for him. I imagined what it would be like to be closer to him, to share more moments like these. My heart swelled with affection for the boy who effortlessly held my attention and captured my heart.
The rest of practice passed quickly; we won the matches convincingly, though Karasuno struggled throughout the camp. They clearly had potential but needed more time to gel as a team.
Lunchtime arrived, and we decided to prepare a simple miso soup. As I helped with the cooking, I realized we only had two days left before heading home; it was Wednesday, and the heat was relentless. I opted for a summer dress I had brought along. Cooking went smoothly, and within 40 minutes, we had a large pot ready for each team, which we placed on the tables. We all sat down together, discussing the day's matches over our meal.
After lunch, I helped wash dishes while the teams prepared for the afternoon matches. I knew our next opponents were Ubugawa High, and Bokuto eagerly awaited the game to support his best friend.
Entering the gym, I sat beside Bokuto on the bench, but my eyes were drawn to Kuroo, who was watching me intently. I couldn't tear my gaze away from him until Bokuto started joking around, lightening the mood. We laughed throughout the game, but during a break, I heard Nekomata call for a timeout. As I stood to encourage my teammates, I noticed Kuroo looked slightly upset. I wondered why, but before I could dwell on it, Yachi whispered to me, "Someone's a little jealous," with a wink.
After the match, Kuroo approached us and asked, "Can I borrow Y/N for a moment, please?" I stood up, and my friends nodded in agreement. Without hesitation, he took my hand and led me out of the gym.
As we walked, the tension between us was palpable, and my heart raced with anticipation. When we reached a secluded spot, Kuroo gently pushed me against the wall, his hands securing mine next to my head. His gaze was intense, locking with mine as if he was searching for something deep within.
"Y/N," he began, his voice low and husky with emotion, "there's something I've been wanting to tell you for a long time."
I held my breath, unable to tear my eyes away from his mesmerizing gaze.
"I like you, Y/N," Kuroo confessed, his voice filled with sincerity. "I've liked you from the moment we met. You're smart, funny, incredibly talented and so overwhelmingly beautiful. Being around you makes everything better."
His words washed over me, sending a wave of warmth through my entire body. I felt my cheeks flush with a mix of surprise and joy. Before I could respond, Kuroo closed the distance between us, his lips capturing mine in a longing kiss.
Time seemed to stand still as we kissed, our hearts beating in sync. It was everything I had hoped for and more—a confession wrapped in a passionate moment that sealed our unspoken feelings.
When we finally pulled apart, Kuroo rested his forehead against mine, his breath on my skin "I've been wanting to do that for a long time," he admitted with a soft chuckle.
"I'm glad you did, I like you" I replied, my voice barely above a whisper, overwhelmed with happiness.
„I like you too" he said smiling happily and relieved, while kissing me again. This time a bit rougher. I broke the kiss saying I need to go make dinner.
He nodded letting me go, I hugged him goodbye and looked him deep in the eyes. I am so glad he made the first move. I went to the cafeteria, I NEED to tell that Kiyoko and Yachi!
„OMG GUYS, GUESS WHO JUST CONFESSED TO ME AND KISSED ME!", they both looked shocked, but also happy at my words. „Omg- Kuroo right?" Yachi asked. „Yes I am so happy!" I exclaimed. „So are you guys a couple now?", the question from Kiyoko caught me off guard. „To be honest I am not sure if we are together now or if he just confessed his feeling. I mean we both said ‚I like you' and thats it." I was feeling nervous, are we together now or not?" „I think you should ask him, but not now while eating, maybe just tell him to go to our room tonight so you could talk." Yachi tried to help. „Well yeah, I guess thats the best we could do."
We continued with the food, we made some ramen noodles. They were done fast and easy, its something almost everyone can do. I put the things down onto the Table and sat beside Kenma, because we watched Jujustu Kaisen together. I felt Kuroos gaze on me which made my face grew red, but I couldn't help smilling at him. When everyone was finished eating I went to him. „Could you maybe come to the manager room in like 1 hour, so i have enough time getting ready for bed. Maybe we could do something together?" „Yeah I would love to." he said smiling and I walked back to the Kitchen helping with cleaning.
