It was saturday morning. A weekend to spend the day got off to work at magpahinga after the whole week’s exhausting happenings… but not Mayor Alice. She was reviewing her documents para sa next hearing along her attorneys. Bagot na bagot na s’ya staying busy while reading all the papers. She wants to have fun at kalimutan ang mga naging latest issue sa kanya.

Kaboring naman… attorney can we finish this on the oth–” She was cut off by her lawyer and started to scold her.

“No! Kailangan nating aralin lahat ng magiging statements mo. Gusto mo bang maging unaware nanaman kung ano isasagot mo sa court? We have to work this thing out. Isantabi mo muna ‘yang kabagutan mo. Focus, mayor.”

"Sabi ko nga." I secretly rolled my eyes a bit dahil bored na bored na talaga ‘ko. I can’t help it na so I move away slowly while busy sila analyzing the papers. I sneak outside and get my car keys then headed to the garage. As I started the engine, I hear them looking for me by calling me. I ignore them and started to drive, bahala na kung sa’n ako dalhin ng sasakyan ko, I just want to whined and stop stressing myself from my past issues. I decide to headed straight sa park and clear my mind for a moment.

Sen. Blaire’s Pov:

After the senate tension, I decided to use the weekend to clear my mind. After the pressure I was handling, I craved a moment of solitude and reflection. Choosing a peaceful place in Manila, I headed to the Oak’s park, a place where I often found peace among the trees and open spaces.

The gentle rustling of leaves and the distant sounds of children began to soothe my mind. I found myself drawn to a quiet bench sa ilalim ng malaking puno ng acacia. It offered me a serene view of the park’s lush greenery and vibrant flowers and begin to remain my memories within the place. “I miss you till now, boo..." I whispered to myself while a little tears flowing through my face.

Alice’s Pov:

As I entered the park, I felt an immediate sense of calm washing over me. The scent of blooming flowers and the sound of birds chirping filled the air. I walked slowly, taking the beauty around me. This park had always been a place where I could escape the pressures of my role and find a moment of piece kahit noong bata pa ako tuwing bibisita ako ng Manila with my father.

Habang naglalakad, I noticed my favorite place sa park beneath in a large acacia tree. I headed to the place and to my surprise, I saw Sen. Blaire sitting on a bench, deeply engrossed a book. The sight made me pause.

“S-senator Solace,” My voice broke the silence surprising the senator.

Blaire’s Pov:

I looked up because I hear my name being called. When I saw who called me, a mixture of surprise and curiosity popped in my eyes. “Mayor Guo, what a quite unexpected meeting. What brings you here?

Alice smiled, taking a seat on the bench next to me. “I escape my house for a bit po. My lawyers were making me crazy masyado sa pag p-prepare sa next hearing kaya I needed some fresh air and change of scenery.”

The two women shared a moment of quiet understanding, the tension from the hearing seemingly miles away. Blaire closed her book, her interest piqued. “What do you enjoy pag may free time ka?” She asked, glancing around the happy surroundings.
