DAY OF THE LOBOLA NEGOTIATIONS
It's been a week now since that awful dinner and that means today is my lobola negotiations. I hate everything about today, I have to pretend like I'm happy to marrying Sanele whereas I feel the complete opposite.NARRATED

It's a busy day in the Mokwena (Khumo's maternal side) household it's the day of the lobola negotiations. Everyone is moving around like headless chickens making this day perfect for their beautiful family, Khumo's aunts and uncles were feeling proud of her.
Khumo was feeling guilty, lying to her family was something big worse part none of think know that all of this is fake. She wanted to cry so bad.
Everything about today was overwhelming but she knew better then to no emotion other than happiness and excitement. That was exactly what they are expecting to see on a soon-to-be bride's face.
Instead she kept her head held high and played the perfect Makoti role. The ladies congratulated her and telling her how to behave emshadweni. She couldn't care less about all of that.
"Hey Nana how are you holding up?" Aunty Dipuo asked giving her brief hug since she was busy khumo getting her hair and makeup done.
"I'm okay just a little bit nervous and anxious." She said grinning through the pain of her cheeks from smiling. Out of all her aunts from her mom's side Aunty Dipuo was her favorite.
"I know exactly how your feeling at this exact moment that's how I was when I was marrying your uncle tshepo." Khumo just smiled and it was heartwarming.
"Thank you." Khumo muttered her aunt.
"Your welcome but are you sure about this" Phela lenyalo ga se papadi, it's not always going to be rosey there's going to be trials and tribulations are you up for that."
"Yes I'm ready for all of that I love Sanele with all my heart and I'll stick beside him through all of it."
"Then I guess it's time to go get your man," Aunty Dipuo said her shimmered with tears wishing her sister was here to see her daughter getting married. "She's here with us."

And in that moment the family started singing and ululating meaning the negotiations are going well it was time for the Ndlovus to choose their bride. The Modise ladies plus Boitumelo were called by the elders. Bhekumbuso was amongst the man the moment the ladies walked in he knew who khumo was amongst the woman covered in blankets.
Bhekumbuso was the one choosing and of he chose khumo. The ladies were sent back to the room for the time being. After several hours. Khumo's aunts barged in the room singing and rejoicing and she knew was officially a ndlovu makoti.
It was time to serve food and she was told by her in-laws to go serve her husband Food she greeted the ndlovu family and they were happy with what they saw.She went over and kneeled infront of him giving him a bowl of water to wash his hand.
"Didn't know you could be nice." He said looking at her anyone looking at them would believe that these two were inlove.
"Your just lucky were have a audience or else I would've poured you with the water husband." She forced a smile.
She stood up and left to fetch his food. The uncles were praising him about choosing a good wife telling him that she's the one that will be uplifting the ndlovu surname.
She walks out holding a tray in her hands and juice. On the plate was dumpling and beef stew his favorite the last time he ate this was when his mom was still around.
The ladies was handing everyone their plates. Khumo was seated next to Sanele.
"How did you know this was my favorite." Sanele whispered to khumo.
"I just had a hunch." And for the first time ever she was smiling a real smile.
And just like that the day ended on a good note, everyone was happy with the reunion.
