KHUMO

Planning a wedding in span of 2 months is stressful especially when you have a fiance like Sanele who wants no part in planning. The only time he gets involved is when there's something he needs to pay.

Like today I'm meeting the wedding planning and he's not at the venue and I told him about the meeting but as always he's M.I.A.

There's a lot that needs to be done especially if you wedding is going to be broadcasted and it's a high-society wedding.

I always thought having a wedding planner would make things easier for me but unfortunately that's not the case. Apparently I need to do the guest list, Choose a design for the invitation cards, book a venue, check the catering team. By the end of the day I'll be exhausted and I still need to go dress shopping.
After spending many hours on my feet Marlene wasn't anywhere close to being.

"I think we should take a break and continue some other time." I pleaded as my feet were killing me.

I know she's just doing her job but I'm tired and hungry.

"We'll take a break when we come back from the cake shop." She said clearly ignoring my pleads, listing all the things we still need to do.

"That's it, I tried but I can't so I'll leave the rest to you." I said as I headed to grab my bag and head for the door.

"Mrs Ndlovu I understand that your tired but we need to get these things your wedding is in two months." She explains as she catches up with me.

"Exactly my wedding is in two months not two days now if you'll excuse me I've got somewhere else to be." I told her as I quickly rushed out not wanting to listen to anything else she has to say.

I quickly jumped in my car and headed towards the hospital. It's been a couple of days and already late and behind on my schedule.

"Gosh khumo, your so late but don't worry I covered for you." Didi winks as we approach my office, "So why are you this late?"

"You don't wanna know." I groaned tiredly.

Heading for my coat and my stethoscope.

"Well I wanna know." She pouted.

"I had wedding stuff to do." I answered truthfully.

Wedding stuff that almost killed me.

"Oh my gosh! I still can't your getting married to thee Sanele Ndlovu!" She exclaimed in a high pitched voice.

"Well even I can't believe it." I forced a smile, "Enough about me we should probably get back to work."

"Yes your right."

It was time to knock off and to be honest I didn't want to go home mainly because that house is depressing and cold.

So I decided to check up on Boity to see if she's available for drinks.

"Do you ever check your phone?" I huffed impatiently as I backed out of the parking lot into the main road.

"No although I can tell that your not okay." She says with concern, causing me to smile.

She knows me better than I know myself. Boity and I have been best friends since 8th grade. She was always the outgoing friend whereas I was the reserved one. She's always been there for me during tough times more then my sister has. Sometimes she irritates me but I know I can't leave without her.

"Your right I'm not okay so that's why I was thinking that we should go grab drinks and drown in our sorrows." I suggest hoping that she agrees with the plan.

"As much as that sounds tempting, I don't think that's the way to ease your miserable marriage," She points out. "What you need is a heart-sobbing movie plus some wine with your best friend."

To be honest I think she's right getting drunk is not the answer.

"Okay, I'm on my way." I hanged up.

》》》》》》》

I blow my nose for the tenth time and toss it into a pile of tissues. We were watching the notebook and it is tear-jerking.

Boity flops herself into the couch beside and hands me another glass of wine.

"My feet are killing me seriously." I whine, throwing my feet onto her lap.
"So are you going to tell me what's going on?" She asks.

To be honest I'm embarrassed to even talk about this like I get that my marriage with Sanele is fake but this... or maybe I'm overreacting.

"Sanele is fucking other people and he's not hiding." I say.

Boity just stares at me like I just grew two heads.

"And your mad why?"

"I'm not mad, I just feel disrespected like my feelings are not valid. I told him that if your going to whore around please do that away from me and keep your sides away from me but no he had the never to keep a used condom in his pants knowing very well that I do his laundry!" I spat out.

Maybe I'm throwing this out of proportion or maybe I'm jealous...no definitely none of them.

"Well when you put it like that I understand or you could also give him a taste of his own medicine." She smiled wickedly.

"I like your idea." I tilt my head and open my mouth to pop a grape.

My phone rings and it's Sanele. Seeing his name makes me feel some type of way.

I turned the device off.

"Well Missy think about what I said," she remind me. "It's time for bed."

My smile wobbled and I just follow her the bedroom. She tosses me a pair of pajama's. I end up tucked in for bed even though Boity decided to use me as her human blanket for warmth.

If feels like this day was dragging on for so long to end. I just want to close my eyes and forget about the bull that's happening in my life currently.
