After two hours of going over a syllabus in each class, I found myself leaned up against a wall, in the main hall awaiting Brea's arrival.
I tapped my foot against the wooden ground, and scanned my surroundings of Reign, as students walked and roamed around talking to other peers about what they were going to do, how excited they were to see each other, and who had totally glo'd up over the summer.
I focused my attention on the hooting and hollering that came from the far end of the hallway. You couldn't miss the guy who was doing all of the hollering.
He had to be at least 6'7, while all of the other guys around him stood two or three inches shorter than him. Although, I couldn't make out his face from afar, though those group of guys seemed like they were annoying.I adverted my attention to the hand that grabbed my wrist.
Brea.
"Hey girl." I smile.
She looks down the hall, "Are you looking at Kelly?"
I follow her eyes, "I don't a Kelly. Is Kelly that blonde girl right there?"
"Kelly is definitely not a girl." She laughs.
I look at her. "Oh, oops. Who is Kelly exactly?"
"Kelly Oubre. Standing 6'7 in height, star basketball player of this school, hazel eyes, and just drop dead gorgeous for a guy. Too bad he's like my best friend." She blurted.
I crack a smile, "Oh yeah?"
She pushes up her glasses, "Yeah. So, do you want to know who everyone is, then I show you my drawings and the places around here?"
"Only if you want to."
She grabs my hand, "Out here!"
Brea dragged me behind her outside to numerous blue picnic tables. She sat down and pulled me down next to her.
"Here is Seniors 101." She boasted.
I rose an eyebrow, "Seniors 101?"
She flipped her hair, "It's a class taught by Brea Morris and she teaches you about all of the seniors and what they're about. Its the most important class a newby should take on the first day. Would you like to go over a syllabus?"
I laugh, "Brea, get this "class" started."
She turned towards everyone who was outside, "Okay, Aurora."
"Rory."
"Rory." She hissed. "Welcome to Seniors 101. Like most schools, everyone has a certain clique they stick to throughout the year. Well guess what? Here's something about private school. Everyone is cool with everyone, and everyone hangs out with everyone. There are no certain cliques or none of that. We do have the people we would rather hang with, but we hang with everyone. Don't get me wrong, there are people here who have dirty laundry on each other, hate another, or exes who can't stand each other but usually it's not addressed. Cool? I know. High school is so basic compared to this private school. Now, let's start with the well knowns."
I nod. "Okay."
She points to a group of girls, "Over there. The one with the white long sleeve crop, and high waisted blue jeans? That is Hayley Miller. The sexy Hispanic. She got here because of two reasons. One, her grades, which I don't know how."
"Why?" I ask.
Her eyes widened, "Oh my God, her common knowledge is dumb as hell. But some how she's just book smart."
I chuckle, "Second reason?"
Brea fakes a smile, "Her precious daddy."
"Is her daddy a millionaire or something?" I ask.
