My second book EVER! This time, I was inspired by Undertale AUs (mostly the Bad Sanses because they're my favourite :3). I had this in mind for quite a long time, the protagonist is my own OC, and the Sanses belong to respective owners! So, read on, and have a great time!

They banged on my door, my heart shook along with my feet as I stood against it. I hadn't paid my rent to the angry landlord. This was the third time in a row. He was more merciful the first time and began losing patience by the second. I guess I finally crossed my limit this time. My vision darted around the room and landed on the wooden chair I'd been using since I was 12. I ran across the room, picked up the chair and placed it smoothly under the knob. I ensured the door had its three locks locked tightly and ran upstairs.

I bashed in and closed my bedroom door, and began searching in my drawers and closet.

"Where is it- Where is it?!-" I muttered as I was nearly hyperventilating.

What was I searching for? A really strange object, so strange in fact that I was not sure what it was. A crystal? Some sort of stolen jewel? A man's gift for his Valentine? I had no idea. But whatever it was, it helped me calm down. I've had it with me my entire life. I was hyperventilating too much. I hyperventilate quite easily when panicked. I often faint because of it. And my head hurt like it was spiked whenever I regained consciousness.

But I couldn't find it anywhere. It heightened my desperation even more. The presence of the crystal/jewel was calming, but its absence did the absolute opposite. I always found it miraculous. It worked like wonders. But this time, I couldn't even find it.

I was always told the tale of the Humans and the Monsters. Every child from the near past had. It is one of the most popular ones around, it competed with the Hare and Tortoise one. How a war between the two races had caused the banishment of Monsters to the place named the Underground. It is short, but the children have always loved it. Soon, a human falls down, makes many friends, and with unwavering DETERMINATION (I have no idea why it's capitalised), they free all monsters and they return to the surface. Happy ever after, yeah? Well, then why haven't I ever experienced such a beautiful ending? It's like whoever made this world thought it'd be a great idea to make me suffer in the silliest ways and it'll be fun to read about.

So anyway, back to the point- I found my crystal heart stuffed in my only trench coat's pocket. I don't even remember how it ended up there. I slid against the wall and curled up to hold it against myself. I took in long breaths, and the crystal did its job.

It glowed faintly like it always did. It was one of my most beloved possessions. I held it against where my huge blonde tresses met and curled away on my chest. My breathing slowed down, and the crystal heart stopped humming and remained close in my hands. I looked down at it and smiled. It was something I rarely did. But it always felt nice.

"I should smile more often, yeah?" I told the jewel. It shimmered for a second and fell silent again as if agreeing with me. The green crystal heart was one of the best people I knew. It was the kindest thing on this entire planet, to me.

A huge thrash was the first thing I heard after the crystal's buzzing. The landlord had broken in. They probably even broke my sweet little chair.

"PASTORA! COME BACK DOWN HERE AND GET OUT OF THIS DAMN PLACE AT ONCE!"

He shouted. I trembled, stuffing my best friend back into my cargo pant pocket. It didn't measure more than a mouse, so it fit comfortably. I stood up and opened my bedroom door, glancing down at the three men who stood in my not-so-big living room. I crept back inside my room, scared.

"I'VE GOT A BONE TO PICK WITH YOU!" He grew more impatient.

Like the coward I was, I decided to flee. Luckily, all the emotionally valuable stuff I swore I couldn't live without stayed up in my room. I crammed my old trench coat, a few other clothing, a hand-woven sweater my grandma made for me on Christmas, a few books, my toothbrush and comb, the half-filled water bottle kept on my small desk, a few keychains and of course, my beloved green crystal heart.

Just as was about to leap through the window, the calling and thrashing downstairs paused. It was too silent. Almost like there was no one. I stepped away from my window, put my heavy backpack down with a thud, and took a deep breath in. I plodded towards the railing and glanced down. My core shook like it had never been before.

The three men's bodies stayed limp on the floor, not even bleeding, the stabs were made in their guts. A medium-tall skeleton- that's what it seemed like- stood between the trilogy. His face had a big snarky grin. Disgusting black liquid dripped on the floor from his blank eye sockets. He had a red target-like symbol floating on his chest. He wore a dark blue jacket and white shorts with black stripes.

I'd never thought a dead person had such a thing for making other people join him in his new reality.

His knife dripped with blood, and he looked quite satisfied.

"Yep, seems like this AUs done for. Nice."

His voice was deep and brimming with mischief. Even husky. I thought about it and turned cherry red. And mentally punched myself.

"Get OUT of here you IDIOT!" The inner monologue screamed at me. I trembled and stepped back. But as soon as I turned, a floorboard creaked. It'd name it Screech.

"Screw you, Screech-" Is what my inner monologue fussed out.

The skeleton looked up at me. Oh no. Today seemed to be the worst day I've had in ages. And you know it's a bad day because all my other days are averagely crappy.

The skeleton's expression had turned neutral, but then the smile climbed back up on its place once again. I hate that sly smile.

"Ohoho! Seems like this AU is not done for, yet~!" And he began sauntering over to the stairs, his pace threatening and slow. He let out a low raspy laugh as he eyed me with his brows furrowed.

"Nonono-" I stumbled and skedaddled back to my window, picking up my backpack, to leap out of the window. Now there's no chance I was living there. But then, I stopped again. All I saw was dark clouds and bodies lying all around the neighbourhood.

"Did he do this?!"

Before I could contemplate anything and debate with myself on anything, I felt a hand on my shoulder. It sent a chill down my spine. The hand was a bony one. The killer caught me.

-End of Introduction-

Yes, I know- I haven't even finished my first book yet, but since I was this idea thrashing violently round my head, I couldn't help. You have no idea how much I love the OG Undertale and its AUs. Stick around for the next part! Thanks!
