Heyo again! Yes, that was the Soulstealer skeleton in the last chapter! ^^

(Gives me a reason to call this book more than just mere fanfiction lol)

Anyways, enjoy!

Sundancer POV

We mostly just hung around in the castle's living room. It was grandiose, with the walls having purple and black enamel, and the furniture of dark oak had some accents made of gold. The windows had expensive framing. The stairs that led to the rest of the castle were made of obsidian and shone dimly beneath the chandelier. The gothic and expensive aesthetic was a little hard for my brain to comprehend. After all, I left my parents' home at the age of twenty and for the entire fifteen years, I've been on my own, alone. And this was an otherworldly place to be.

But these guys were pretty entertaining for constituting a group called the 'Bad Sanses'. Essentially, they are all versions of one short skeleton. Except, they are one the most broken or traumatised ones in the entire 'multiverse'.

Currently, Horror rambled about types of axes on the dining table. Earlier, Killer was doing the same for knives. Dust lay on the lime green couch like he'd just given up on life and Error was taking a nap in a hammock he had weaved out of his strings. Fell, not being one of the Bad Sanses, had left.

And then the huge wooden doors swung open to reveal ANOTHER skeleton (great). He was monochrome in an oddly fashionable jacket with an X on it. He had a red scar on his right cheekbone. His fluffy hood covered his head and he wore a golden heart locket.

"What the-" The young, monotonous voice spoke. He looked quite apathetic before he spotted me. Because after that he just gaped in shock.

"Hey Crossy! Look, we found a cool human!" Killer slammed open the door of his room on the ledge floor.

I, instinctively, hid my face behind the chair back and Horror smiled at 'Crossy'.

"Wh- dude- how??"

"Long story, bud." Dust finally muttered.

Then the skeleton stomped over and stared at me in disbelief. I shrunk back on the seat further as I stared back at him with huge eyes.

"H-hello?"

"Don't worry about 'im. He's the only one left among us with any sort of moral compass so he wouldn't hurt a single strand on yer head!" Horror patted my head once. Killer giggled like a gremlin, slid down the stair railings and threw himself on Cross from the side with utmost happiness. The loud thud woke up Error for a second before he budged and went back to his dreamland. Cross pushed Killer off him and stood up with infuriated purple cheeks.

"I told you not to do that, Killer!"

Killer lay on the wooden floor and grinned idiotically.

"Whoopsie! Heh, anyway, that's Sundancer. Sundacer? Meet Cross!"

Cross looked at me with a piercing judgemental gaze before pouting and nodding his head. He had his one bony hand forward for me to shake. His expression was more neutral as he stood straight.

Alright, here we go again.

I blinked, using my hair as a curtain. I inhaled deeply and fluttered my eyelids before shakily grabbing onto his phalanges. My hand trembled as I felt his fingers under my fist. I shook his hand up and down twice, loosely.

"That was... alright." Cross scratched his head and pulled his hand away. "There's scope for improvement, I guess."

"I-in what? Me?"

"I meant the handshake, dude."
