"Everyone has a dream, what's yours?"

- Unknown

The city lights looked sparkly more when you're intoxicated, especially off celebration champagne.

I got a call from my agent telling me Morsin City wanted to invite me to their fashion week show with a few other celebrity models.

A small town girl like me making it to Morsin City? Was an absolute dream come true.

The driver smiles as I stick my head out the window to catch a breeze, my agent holds my waist so I don't fall face first.

"Maya! Maya, get back in here!"

I chuckled, "Let me enjoy this moment, I made it...I seriously made it."

My agent shook their head, "Won't make it if you're roadkill."

Wiggling back in I see the Morsin City sign smiling from ear to ear ready for this new beginning rushing my way.

"Hey, hey look at me," My agent says, then pops a mint in my mouth, handing me a water and fixing my makeup, "When you say hello to Devourx, bow as he's into that sort of thing. Royalty kink of some sort. Then when you say your name give him that beautiful smile of yours, okay?"

Nodding, I suck on the mint then see a millionaire house come into view having to be Devourx's.

"Aren't you coming?" I asked fixing my top and high heel boots.

My agent patted me on the back, "You're on your own kid."

"Well that wasn't nerve wrecking at all," I thought.

Getting out of the car, I walk up seeing models already partying with alcohol, drugs and other stuff.

Walking into the house I see confetti everywhere, music blaring out and a few singers hanging with rappers.

"Yo, isn't that Maya Cristain?" A guy says to his friend who is sniffing a line of white powder on the glass table.

Wiping his nose, eyes red, the guy squinted making sure the name matched the face.

"Oh shit! That is her!"

On the left side of them Beck Evert, Morsin City's popular singer, looks up liking what they see but staying back not liking to be out in the open with who they find attractive.

Coming from the back room, the guy that's with the coke sniffer, calls him over pointing my way.

"Yo shawty's fine," The guy says to the one that came from the back room.

Checking me out, he tells the guy something then walks over, "Kells or Colson," The tall tatted blue eyed guy says with a short shy smile.

"Maya," I say looking past him to find Devourx but could only see models dry humping on the sofas or walls.

"Zae," Another says, offering me a drink but already tipsy off the champagne I had I declined.

"Who are you looking for?" Zae says while Kells pours himself a drink.

About to say their name, I spot them talking to a photographer. Excusing myself, I walk over making myself present in front of them bowing saying my name like my agent said. "Maya, Maya Cristain." The man chuckles unamused but then takes a minute and registers who I am. "Ah! Yes! Maya!" He kisses my cheeks on both sides and pats my hand while dismissing the photographer. "Come. Walk. Drink?" I shook my head then followed as they took me upstairs.

Kells and Zae watch as he does while Beck keeps an eye out as she doesn't trust Devourx either.

"Welcome to Morsin City my dear, how's it feel to be in a place similar to the Hollywood?"

I smile hugely, "Amazing, I've worked with magazines and photographers from here but she never moved until now after the invitation to your fashion show."

Devourx smiles, "You're going to enjoy it here. This is where dreams come true."

Nodding, I spot old vintage magazine covers framed all along his wall with famous models from all around the world.

"Wow," I gaze up at them, taking in this moment until I feel Devourx hand on my back side.

Turning my head to face him, I furrow my eyebrows, "What do you think you're doing?"

Ignoring my tone of discomfort, he's about to touch me even more until I take the glass of whiskey that was there and pour it onto his head.

"I'm sorry but do you think I was going to give you some ass to secure my spot in the fashion show? Invitation or not, I'm not fucking you."

Walking out, I slam the whiskey glass down and go back down to where I originally arrived from.

Grabbing my phone from my skirt pocket, I dial my agent's number pissed.

Once they answered I gave them an earful.

"You knew that old fart was going to try and screw me? Are you fucking joking?"

Covering my ear while pressing the phone into the other, I walked past Kells and Zae while making it to the back patio where an infinity pool was.

"So the move was what? An entrapment for your gain? Because if I knew that he just wanted some ass I would have turned this opportunity down in a heartbeat."

The only words I heard were "don't be dramatic" or "this is what you wanted...this is your dream" making me feel sick.

"I worked my way to where I am. I didn't suck dick. Didn't throw my ass to anyone. I worked. Plain and simple. For working with me for 9 years you would think you would know that by now."

Hanging up the phone I sat on the pool chair that was there and saw a bottle of half drunken Hennessy.

Opening the lid, I take a swig, making a face as it burns down my throat.

"What a fucked up first night," I mumbled only to be startled by Beck trying to make a phone call but couldn't get any signal.

"Shit. Sorry. Damn phone hasn't been acting right all night."

Beck Evert. God her ocean eyes.

"You're good," I kept drinking, then felt her plop next to me in the other pool chair.

"Are you sure you're good? Saw you pissed coming downstairs."

I nodded then placed the bottle down crossing my arms on my leg watching the pool water.

"Tonight was supposed to be a dream come true in the most infamous Morsin City...turned out to be shit instead."

Beck, getting ready to say something, stops herself asking to borrow my phone instead.

I handed it to her not realizing when she was done and left she had put her number inside of it.
