Kells left after eating and joking around having me smile the rest of the night.

Not having to clean up since Kells helped, I showered then decided to scroll through Social.

When I do, I see I got tagged under some girl's post with the caption "Now she thinks she's more irrelevant but I had him first💋" with another post attached to it with her singing that boy is mine by Brandy and Monica.

I laughed to myself not even knowing who the girl was until I saw old posts of her and Kells.

"Ah okay you're one of those," I say still scrolling seeing a better picture of her.

Logging off

I turn my phone off as I know shit is about to get shitty in the span of 24 hours.

Going into my email on my laptop, I respond taking the offer from the Klein's.

Once they gave me everything I needed, I really tried to get some sleep.

Three hours in and I get wakened by banging at my front door.

Rubbing my eyes, I get out of bed seeing my "agent" fuming.

"The fuck is this that I'm hearing? The Klein's? Really? How?"

Irritated from even seeing their face I went to slam the door but they wedged their hand in the doorway.

"I'm getting in on this right? I mean I am your agent."

Shaking my head, I get water, "Former agent, you're not my agent anymore."

They side eye me, "The fuck you mean former? I've been with you for 9 years."

I shrugged, "Wanted to pimp me out to get ahead and now I'm getting shit on my own, you want in. Funny."

Flailing their arms around, they try to gaslight me into thinking differently.

"No. I've made my mind up. Get out now. It's too late for all this bullshit."

Still running at the mouth they hit me with, "Then who's going to handle your shit? Not you. You can't handle everything like I do."

Nodding, I respond with, "You act like when I came into this industry it wasn't just me. I built what I have now. You were just added on. Remember? So don't pull that shit with me."

Pissed I would even say that, they scoffed.

"So I had no part in it? Really?"

I fold my arms, "If you mean moving me out here to get slutted out by an old man? Sure. But I never or will ever do something so degrading to get you buzz. So sorry."

Moving towards the front door, they nod angrily.

"You think you'll survive out here? Not even your cousin could."

With that I shove them out the door slamming it shut.

Bringing up my cousin was a low blow even for them.

My cousin Letty was a bigger model than I can measure up to. That's how good she was. She practically raised me with my tia Joy who cooked mean empanadas and flan. My parents, Joy's sister and brother in law, had me when they were teenagers. Neither couldn't afford a kid. So Joy being the eldest, took me in and raised me right along with Letty.

Letty was like a big sister to me, very fun, vivacious.

Joy always said all her looks were transferred to Letty.

That's how beautiful she was.

Wasn't until Letty met these people that filled her head with dreams, pipe dreams.

One of them being Morsin City.

Letty pulled me close to her one night, playing with my hair, high off drugs only we knew about, knowing it was the only way she could walk on the runway like she did.

She whispered, "If you make it big, Morsin City is where it's at. All your dreams come true chica. All of it."

I never knew if it was really her talking or the drugs but I knew it had to be right because that's where she was heading.

Up until a few weeks before the move she overdosed on little white lines at a model party in Las Vegas.

Her legacy was going to be big. Her mom knew it. I knew it. The world was too. Now all we have is memories. Letty was the spark to my career. Truly. I know I can't replace what she's done but I can keep the dream alive. That was our thing. We always said, "Pose by night, Smile all day and a little travel especially with male friends, never hurt nobody," which the last part was all Letty but it was Letty.

Just reminiscing a tear falls down while I'm now sitting on the couch with my glass of water in hand.

In this moment this is where I needed Letty to give me some tough love...she was the best at doing that.

Before I could cry more, I heard my phone ringing in my bedroom.

I place my cup down then go towards it, answering.

"Just wanted to call to say today was awesome...I really enjoyed spending time with you. Does that sound weird?"

Kells says as it was a FaceTime call and not a regular call.

Wiping my eyes off camera, he notices sitting all the way up from laying back on his couch.

"You good? What's wrong?"

Not answering but just now straight out bawling, he gets up fixing the snap back he had on grabbing his keys.

"I'm on my way over, don't hang up."

Nodding, I keep wiping my eyes with the sweatshirt I fell asleep in, propping the phone up so I wouldn't have to hold it.

"Talk to me. What's wrong."

Not being able to get the words out he just keeps looking at the screen while driving making sure I was still there.

"I'm almost there, just like five minutes away," He says seriously worried about me.

I just nodded again while grabbing a napkin off my dresser and cleaning my runny nose.

Once my driveway was in view on his screen on hung up and ran to the front door, opening it, he hugs me while my short self wraps
around him as he's 6'4.

He doesn't have to say anything to know I just needed the hug and nothing more.

"You're good. I got you."

He says hugging me tighter as I cling onto him harder.
