I officially spent the night at Kells but stood asleep as he had to take Casie to her tournament.
Whiskey, which is one of his cats, snuggles up to me while Tickets is asleep at the foot of the bed and the last one which is new is hiding in the cat house he bought for them a few weeks ago.
If you would have asked me did Kells seem like a cat person I would have gone with no.
Was a total surprise honestly but they're cute.
He told me I could wear and eat whatever I want once I woke up so when I decided to shower, I went into his closet first to pick out a t-shirt and some street wear sweatpants.
A little after I got done freshening up, I went into his fridge to see gluten free products with Casie's name on it.
For some reason it dawns on me that if I was to be with him, his daughter would come with him.
I'm not ready to be a parent. Let alone a stepmom figure.
Going upstairs, I grab my phone, I see a missed call from Beck but ignore it now stopping seeing Nai posted something about her and Kells.
Social Notification:
@Naithevibe✌🏼: Colson @machinegunkelly has been the best at always being there for me. I'm grateful to even be a part of his healing journey, grateful enough to be going to couples therapy to handle everything that was damaged in the unhealthy stage in our relationship. We will always have love for each other and nothing will change that. I'm also grateful to even be a part of Casie's life as well as she always felt like a daughter to me. So this new start for us is exactly what we both need. Muah , love you Col 💋
Logged off
I nodded after reading the post feeling idiotic for believing there wasn't anything still there with them.
Leaving back to my place, I zone out, completely shut off from the world, until Vin calls sounding like he had way too many drinks.
"Yeah—wait—okay so um I'm getting arrested—or my friend is? I don't know but we need help."
Checking the time to see it's only 10 in the morning, I sigh but stay on the phone with him until I got to where he was.
Seeing him on the curb with handcuffs on, his dad arrives too.
"Son," He says, then pays the cops to let him go.
I walk up after paying my ride looking at both of them.
"How can you get drunk and almost arrested at 10 in the fucking morning?"
His dad asks him while now folding his arms, almost embarrassed.
Vin shrugs, "Had a bad morning? I don't know."
Mr. Klein holds his head pondering what to do with his own son.
"If I put you back in rehab you'll just find a way to leave again. I leave you out of rehab, you become this irony of a mess that I can not handle anymore. Like seriously son, when are you going to grow up and live here in reality and not high or drunk in some fantasyland? Hm? Tell me."
Vin stands up rubbing his wrists from being handcuffed for a long time.
"When are you going to actually pay attention to me and care about me for me and not because I have your last name being a walking liability to your stupid legacy? Can you answer that?"
Mr. Klein scoffs, "If your mother was here she would say you're being too full of yourself and hiding behind these toxins instead of being a man to deal with real life problems."
Vin laughs, "You would know what my problems are, sure."
I feel like a third wheel so I try to exit away from the situation but got brought into it somehow.
"You even hired your own model to watch over me and for what? To feel better as a dad? That you're doing something instead of just letting me do whatever I want?"
Mr. Klein looks at me, "I'm sorry he called. I'll pay for your ride home."
Vin shook his head, "That's all you know how to do DAD. Throw money around to fix things instead of actually working through it yourself. But I'm the one that has to grow up and be a man? Hey, when are we ever going to talk about mom's accident? Or is that going to be shut up with money too, dad."
Now losing his temper, Mr. Klein grabs Vin by the collar, saying something in his ear then pushing him towards the car.
"Your ride will be here shortly, sorry again Ms. Cristain."
He bows his head then leaves, driving him and Vin home.
As I'm waiting for the car he called for me, Kells calls but I decline.
He calls again, only it being FaceTime.
"What? What do you want?" I say coldly.
He sees I'm somewhere other than his place.
"Where are you? I'll come get you."
Hanging up, not wanting to see him, he calls again but I just turn my phone off.
The car gets there finally taking me home just to see Kells waiting for me at the front door.
"If this is about Nai's post I never said any of that shit about couples therapy, none of it."
Ignoring him, I try to go inside but he stops me.
"Maya stop, don't do that. Don't shut me out. Just take a minute and hear me out."
I stepped back, looking at him, waiting for him to talk.
"She wants us back, yes, but I told her no. She probably felt pissed and did that to mess up anything I have going on with you."
I scoffed low, "Why would she think we were involved? We never made it public or known. Hell, we can't even figure out what the hell we are."
Offended, he looks to me like I lost my mind.
"We're not friends who just make out whenever. I'm too grown for that shit Maya. If I'm dealing with you it's because I want to build something. This isn't a game to me."
I shrugged, "You got a type don't you? Go find it because obviously I'm not it. Your type is broadcasting bullshit just to have you, so why not go running and save us both time before you end up doing it anyways."
Nodding, he says, "This is a way out isn't it? Because of Beck? Right? What? Is she easier to be with? No real problems to cry about other than what? Little shit? Is that what you want? You want Beck?"
Mad as hell, I say, "That was a piece of shit thing to throw in my face. Real shitty."
Walking by him, I go inside my place slamming the door.
