The after hours of the gala
People leave while going to some club there in Paris while Vin was about to follow behind, Heath gets in his way with a water in his hand trying to hand it to Vin.
"What are you? Some sponsor? I don't need water, so excuse me," Vin says, still trying to leave to party but Heath gets in his way again, "I know about your powder situation and alcohol. It's not in your best interests to go out with that group." Vin scoffs, "If I wanted my father to be attached to my every move, I would have asked him, so move," Vin tries to step away but Heath grabs his arm protectively, "Have you ever just tried to sit and talk about the stuff that's eating you up inside? Instead of partying it away?" Vin moves Heath's hand, "Don't give me the pity party speech. I've heard it a hundred times. I can take care of myself," Walking away but stopping, he looks to Heath, "Why do you even care in the first place? We just work together now. Nothing else even though I feel like there might be but it could be because of the toxins in my system half the time." Heath looks to Vin, "I do like you, so not entirely the toxins."
Vin chuckles low, "Wait, you're into me?" Heath shrugs, "I do, is that a problem?"
Music from the club right around the corner of where they were blasting out more having Vin nod, taking Heath's hand forcing him to just feel the song (song above) "Feel it," He says then moves to it already being high off the pill he took before the event.
Heath just stood there watching Vin, shaking his head but then giving in.
Vin opens his eyes from having them closed seeing Heath's outfit.
"You gotta let loose with this office attire," Taking Heath's tie, he throws it to the side, loosening up the shirt collar undoing a few buttons too, "See? Better." He turns Heath to check himself out in the glass window.
Heath smiles low, "This? You find this better?"
Vin continues to dance until a few people stop to talk shit under their breath about him.
"Fucking crackhead," One says in French while the other laughs.
Heath hears and approaches them still letting Vin dance, "Qu'est-ce que vous avez dit?" (What did you just say?)
They repeat it again, Heath not really being the type to just get into a fight he does.
Vin stops dancing to run over and help as they had Heath against the concrete.
"Hey! Fuckheads!" Vin takes the powder bag he had in his pants, opening it up, having it land on them like confetti.
Police sirens could be heard around the corner having Vin grab Heath's hand running.
"Really? A white parade? That was your defense?" Heath says while running with Vin.
"I don't know how to fight," He admits, then stops when they get to the hotel.
Heath now laughs out of breath, "This was stupid," He says, shaking his head now.
Vin shrugs, "Hey, can't say I'm ever boring."
Mr. Klein, Vin's dad, walks out to smoke a cigarette and sees the two.
"What are you two doing out here?"
Vin and Heath stand up straight, "Needed some exercise," Vin replies back and Heath nudges him smiling.
"We have a meeting with your people in the morning, so son leave him be," Mr. Klein says while lighting his cigarette.
Vin salutes his dad like a sergeant then goes to his room but waves to Heath.
Mr. Klein looks to the tall sophisticated man, shaking his head, "My son is off limits. He's a lost cause. Don't try and mix business and pleasure where it doesn't need mixing."
Heath buttons his shirt up fixing his collar, "Your son can make his own choices," and before Heath could finish his sentence, Mr. Klein chuckled, "Yeah when he's coherent too. He's always sniffing or drinking his life away. So save us some time for more subtle rivalry and just focus on work like you planned to do." Heath looks to Mr. Klein, "He isn't a lost cause. He just needs someone to believe in him. Seems you lack in that department." Mr. Klein raises his eyebrow, "Big shot has an input on how I raise my son? I would have never seen the day," He says now blowing out cigarette smoke.
"Maybe try a little harder being a father instead of whatever it is you call it," Heath pats Mr. Klein's back then goes up to his room in the hotel.
Vin is in his room showering, then walks out in his towel waiting for room service to bring up the food he ordered which is like twenty-minutes late.
"Where the hell are they?" He mumbles then sees Nai stumbling shouting out Col's name.
"Colson! Colson!" Tightening his towel around his waist, he goes over and helps her up telling her to be quiet.
"God, you reek of alcohol," Helping her up more, she shook her head, "Why'd you side with the newbie? You knew me way before her."
Vin looks to her confused, "We work together yes but I was never your friend. Only when it came to snorting lines and playing pill tag."
Nai groggily sighs, "I do love him, you know? I kissed him but he fucking pushed me off because of that dumb bitch," Once she called Maya that, Vin drops her.
"Maya isn't a dumb bitch. She's actually a good person. I'll call somebody from the front desk to help your drunk ass get to your room," Walking into his suite, he calls and then asks about his food too.
Standing out in the hall again, he now has on sweatpants with a white tank, still waiting for his food as they already helped Nai get to her room.
Heath approaches with a plate with steak, mashed potatoes and asparagus, "Heard you were having problems getting something to eat," Handing it to him Vin nods, "Yeah, they can get a pissy drunk but not some damn food. Crazy." Heath smiles, "Hangry I see," Vin nods, "Absofuckinglutely," Sitting right there in the hall he chows down not wanting to talk but just eat.
