It seems we've been stuck here for a while.... Let me introduce myself – my name is Elias. I'm going to tell you a story that happened to me a long time ago. I was still a stupid, naive boy back then. Now I am an old man who can hardly remember some details.
When I forget something, I prefer to write it down. I usually draw numbers on a piece of paper so that I don't forget the sequence of events and what they led me to. And I advise everyone around to do the same – otherwise you can easily get confused. But, you know, some decisions didn't affect anything – it's not worth spending ink on them.
This story originates in a dirty alley in my hometown, where I met a man without whom this story would not have happened at all. I would probably call him the main character of the story. But he wasn't the only one who played an important role in this story – there were five of us.
Then each of us faced a choice, which can sometimes be very, very difficult to make – because sometimes the path that seems the most correct leads to the most sad consequences. That is why some – not all, I ask you to remember – the decisions we made changed the course of events. And now I'm going to tell you how.
