(18) I decided to help from the outside (if earlier - 3/4 and 10/11)

I wanted to check on Letha before leaving, but I accidentally woke her up.

"Is something wrong?"

How quickly she got excited.

"No, not really...."

I hurriedly approached her bed, not allowing her to jump up.

"I didn't know you were asleep. Sorry."

My hand involuntarily went over her leg.

"I thought we had some kind of emergency meeting."

Letha yawned. So wide and sweet.

"A meeting?"

My lips stretched into a smile.

"Well, yes... what am I talking about... Today Seth was outraged by the sign of me eating."

A chuckle escaped me.

"What?"

"Really..."

She drawled without opening her eyes. I continued stroking her leg.

"I was sitting in the kitchen, cutting bread... And he rushed in there as if he'd been stung...."

Letha told it with such reverence. She and Seth... had a special bond.

"I think he was just nervous and that's why he was walking all over the house. Anyway, he saw me... and stood there for a few seconds."

I couldn't hold back my laughter anymore.

"In the end, I offered it to him, and he began to grumble... 'I have more important things to do... you should do something serious too... all you do is eat'."

Letha was half asleep. Her giggles were the most beautiful sound I've ever heard.

"He's so funny... I adore him."

When her breathing had calmed down, I gently got up, kissed her on the forehead and left the room. I closed the door and bumped into Hunter.

"Oh..."

He had some kind of... maliciously irritated look. If there is one.

"She's asleep."

I explained, pushing him back a little.

"Really?"

I think I should have chosen my expressions more carefully.

"Well, not like that... I wanted to chat, and she, well..."

"What do you think I was talking about?"

So the bullying started.

"Okay, Hunter, I'm not up to it."

I walked resolutely down the corridor.

"Seth and Magic are in the office, if you're interested."

My legs stopped working. And my eyebrow seemed to twitch. I turned around.

He had such a smirk on his face! Honestly! But it always seemed to me that he was the most serious of all of us!

"I have other hobbies!"

"So you admit that stalking other people is your hobby?"

Everything began to boil inside me.

"By the way, you're not the only one who's so observant! Magic also knows that I'm spying on them."

I don't know why suddenly voicing this information should have helped me.

Hunter grinned and headed for the stairs.
