Tell yourself you quit
Say you want this
Yet you crave a feeling only it can bring you

Claim you quit
But feel the burning need to start again
Even when things go wrong, it's your first thought

Tell yourself you quit
Say you're healing
Even when you just picked up a new replacement

Claim you quit
Until it eats you
Until the voices swarm your head

Tell yourself you quit
Until you turn back
Until you're crying and can't breathe again

Claim you quit
Until you're begging to go numb
Until you're doomed to repeat it all again
