I looked around at the table of people that I adored.
Ravi's parents.
My parents.
My little brother.
Cara.
Nat.
Naomi.
Connor.
Jamie.
and of course, Ravi- right next to me.
It was what you could call.. a reunion.
After shutting everybody out for almost two years, reunions like this where essential to my happiness.. and now we where all split up.

It was once a year that we did this, and it was one of my favorite times of the year.
"Little one, you okay?" Ravi whispered to me, grabbing my hand that rested on the wooden table.
I looked at him, then giggled at the nickname.
"Yes Ravi. I'm okay."
He nodded then rubbed his thumb over my hand one last time before removing it and grabbing his fork to grab more food off of his plate.
Ravi was now the only one still eating, which didn't really matter considering we didn't have anything planned after dinner. So everybody just sat there and talked.
Talked about life.
Marriage.
Kids.
Work.
Basic stuff that was talked about since we had all grown up now.
I looked at Ravi as he crammed food in his mouth rapidly, something he did when he was nervous, which he normally gets that way anytime he's around his parents now, for some reason.

After what felt like forever, Ravi finally finished his plate of food.
Once he got up to rinse off his plate, suddenly all the attention turned to me, Cara shot me a huge grin.
I looked back at her, confused.
"What?" I asked, looking around the table at all of the excited faces.
No response.
I was about to ask again- this time more frustrated- When my mom shook her head and told me to 'have patience'.
Ravi walked into the room again, now taking my hand and forcing me to stand up from my chair.
I felt everybody's gaze on us.
He grabbed both of my hands, and now we stood hand in hand- looking at eachother.

"Pip. Sarge. Little one. There's so many names I've been able to call you over the past few years but there's just two that I haven't unlocked yet."

I smiled at him confused, but laughed slightly at the corny reference to videos games.

"But I want to take things a further step with you Pip. I love you, and I always have since the day you showed up on my doorstep."

My heart began to race and butterflies filled my stomach.
Ravi never talked to me like this infront of everybody. Not because we had something to hide- but because we didn't want to be one of those couples.

Suddenly, Ravi's eyes began to tear up and I felt his palms get sweaty.

"When I was younger, Sal always told me that when I got older and found the right one.. I would know. And then he would go ranting on about Andie."

The table all laughed silently at the mention of Sal giving Ravi big brother advice.

"And he was right."

Before I could ask any questions , Ravi kneeled down infront of me, letting go of my hands to reach into his pocket, pulling out a small black box.

"Pip. Baby. Will you marry me?" Ravi asked anxiously.
My whole body was shaking violently and I felt like my heart was going to explode out of my chest.
Was this really happening?
I stared at him, in shock, my mouth gapped.
Finally, I snapped back in reality when I saw his face turn to defeat.
"Yes. Yes Ravi I'll marry you." I said happily, letting the boy slide the ring onto my finger.
Everybody clapped and Ravi stood from his knees , grabbing me and spinning me around.
When he placed me down, I now could see that he was crying.
"I thought you where going to say no."
"I could never say no to you"
I placed a meaningful kiss onto the boys lips then turned to look at everybody else.
His mom was crying.
My mom and step dad where crying.
Cara was crying.
But this time, everybody was crying happy tears.
This. This Was the moment that I realized I had finally made it out, alive.
This is where we start over.
This is my new beginning.
I turned back to Ravi, who had the brightest smile ever, his pearly whites complimenting his chocolate brown eyes.
And I wouldn't want to start it with anybody else.
