The day of the second match near the Nile river

"Because Seth won the last match" Maat started. "If he wins again this time he will become the true king of Egypt."

"However if Horus wins the score will be even, in which case another match shall be held. We shall now commence choosing the event for today's match."

As she spoke the vase started shaking, revealing another scroll that she proceeded to to open and read for all to hear.

"The second match will be..." Maat paused "Stone boat racing !"

You've been waiting for now over an hour as Isis remained standing at the same spot since the very beginning on the second match.

You briefly glanced over at Hathor who didn't act any different from usual as you thought about the events that happened in the trap.

A part of you will never leave. Nephthys told you and to your fortune she was not lying.

Whatever it was, and whenever you found out what's missing you will have to get back in it, and simply take it back.

It was not that much of a matter to you, and so you focused back on the river.

You expected Seth to reach the shore first, and yet Horus walked up the stairs to stand in front of the Ennead with no lead of the war's god.

"The winner of the stone boat race has been decided. The winner is the representative of the heavens and son of Osiris and Isis, Horus !"

She proceeds to praise his victory, and too focused on those words she missed to see Seth approach and throw his fist on the winner's jaw, sending him crashing and destroying one of the stone pillars.

Ra burst out laughing as the ghost of a smile appeared on your lips.

"Seth what do you think you're doing right now !? That's a violation of-"

"Shut up!" Seth raised his voice irritated. "You imbecile. If you have eyes take a good look. Does this guys boat look like stone or wood to you !?"

Stone. It looked like stone. You thought.

Lie. Oh.

"What do you mean a wooden boat ?" Maat asked, speaking for Ra.

"I turned a blind eye to it at the time because it seemed so petty." The War's god explained. "It was wood I'm sure of it. I know that you've been receiving help from someone else for every match." He shot a deceiving smile. "That's because without their help you would have never made it that far!"

You looked over at Horus while listening carefully. Hathor has crouched to his level looking worried for him and his forming bruises.

"It was so pathetic that I pitied you." Seth spoke while lowering his tone before raising both arms and raising his chin up. "Him who isn't even a god had attempted to fool the gods in this sacred competition ! The actions of Osiris son are no different of those of the lowly vulgar human beings !"

Followed by more and more shouting until Maat had taken the initiative of inspecting the boat only for Seth to throw a spear its way.

And, stone.

You frowned.

Gasps and words were thrown from all the ways as a reaction to the boat being made of stone as you tried feeling the lie on your tongue.

It was wood, it should be wood.

Yet again, the proof of you being wrong was before you.

A part of you will never leave. And your eyes focused on Hathor who helped Horus up.

No one was allowed to take anything from you. Perhaps you were making assumptions, or maybe you were just wrong.

"Don't be embarrassed for being wrong !" Ra said amusement laced with her words while she held Seth's jaw.

He didn't appreciate the gesture, and before she could say his next words he pushed her away.

"No way!" She laughed. "You'd be disqualified for fouls play and that would be even more humiliating now wouldn't it ?" She said crossing her arms over her chest. "There's no way the supreme ruler of the gods would do such a shameful thing." Her words provoked as he went quiet. "Right ?"

Right.
