You used to be frail yourself. Barely old enough to be called a deity while still being an owner of a temple.

Yet with no attention from the ennead.

It seems as if one day past your birth and everyone were back, turning their faces away from you with no clue on how to achieve any of what has been striven for you.

"Seth" you whispered when seeing him play vulnerable and drunk on the ground many years ago.

"Nephthys..." you've heard him say and flinched at the words.

It was a few weeks after your departure, you were back to the only god you thought you could trust.

The only time a god payed attention to you was because of his state and illusion of seeing you as someone you were not.

His hand reached for you and you took a step back while his eyes streamed down with tears.

"I am not Nephthys." You said, a truth.

He tightened his fist throwing a shattered glass your way which you dodged.

"Don't lie to me !" His voice cracked as you crouched down despite the distance between you both.

"You love Nephthys ?" You asked.

"Shut your mouth !" He said throwing sand your way which this time appeared to be harmless. "Of course I do!"

You surpressed a laugh. Your hand coming to cover your mouth with shame as your curse worked over your actions.

You will laugh whenever someone's lies to you, Was what Ra told you when setting the ability over your shoulders.

Because as a god of lies you shall find amusement in others attempting to fool you.

Seth grit his teeth, his fist falling on his side as you reached a hand for him that he pushed away.

"I hate you." He spoke. And you laughed.

Years and years passed, after the incident among the children of Geb and Nut and further after Horus's birth.

You've seen how drunk Seth would keep him in his arms, and therefore involuntary curse him.

He pictured him to be Anubis. And despite being aware Horus continued coming back to the god he'd looked up to for a comfort he had never experienced.

This until he bumped into you on his way of sneaking out.

You looked down at him and he took a step back as if caught doing something illegal.

Thus day you've offered your warmth for him. He attempted to reject it, to fool himself that he was not enjoying it as much as he was and yet.

He gave in, he craved his uncles comfort his entire life, a god like no other going as far as envying Anubis and his place.

But then there was you, who knew him as Horus. Son of Osiris and Isis. You knew him for who he was and you knew him.

Offering him comfort and not because you bought of him to be someone else.

Yet you left again, leaving him alone and to realise that he already knew you from before this encounter.

Present time

"Why are you telling me that !?" Anubis asked. Holding his injured arm while Horus remained calm.

His height was towering over his as he hummed.

"Because after that I realised that what I felt wasn't envy for you." He spoke. "Therefore refusing to help you is useless."

"[Name] has offered me what I've lacked to this day of my existence." He said, his voice growing harsher. "So I do not need to hide anything from you. You are Seth's weakness."

"I don't understand..." he grew annoyed. He had found out that his own father who he believed hated him was the one who cursed him to remain frail forever. And never become a god.
"What does [Name] have to do with any of this !?"

"She can rid you of that curse." He said.

"How ?" Anubis asked.

"The same way she had removed mine." Horus spoke barely above a whisper.
