"Brother, how much longer do we have to do this? Why are there so many people?" Wang Ke quietly asked Wang Ge.
Wang Ge looked ahead, "About half of the invited guests are still to come." This didn't even include many who, though not officially invited, would find ways to attend the ceremony due to their relationship with the family.
Wang Ke let out a wail, "Why did Dad invite so many people?"
Wang Ge glanced at him, "You tell me."
Wang Ke snorted. What else could it be? Their father had been a devoted husband for decades, a consistent admirer of his wife. With their mother always preferring to keep a low profile and avoid the limelight, their father seized this occasion not just to celebrate her birthday but to boast about his wife even more.
"Bro, where's Xiaoyue? Today's Mom's big birthday celebration. She's not still cooped up in the lab, is she?"
Wang Ge smiled, "Xiaoyue is more considerate than you. She's been at home all day today, keeping Mom company."
Wang Ke clicked his tongue, then suddenly smirked, "I heard that the name 'Xiaoyue' was originally yours, but when you were five, you cried about it being a girl's name and begged Mom to change it. Is that true?"
Upon hearing this, Wang Ge's face darkened. This was one of his few embarrassing histories. How did the second son find out? His accusing gaze fell on the butler standing behind them, who, with a smile, said, "Master Wang Ge, the Second Young Master learned of this during a conversation with the lady."
Wang Ke clicked his tongue in admiration, "Look at how much our dad loves our mom, even wanting to combine their names. Bro, you insisted on changing yours, and unexpectedly, the name ended up with Xiaoyue. If she finds out the name she's always disliked came about because of you, how do you think she'll react?"
Wang Ge gritted his teeth, "Out with it, what do you want?"
Wang Ke snapped his fingers, wearing a triumphant smile, "Simple. I want to produce a biographical movie about mom, but dad will definitely disagree. You help me convince him."
Wang Ge gave him a look, "You know mom's identity is not simple. Making a biographical film about her is not that easy!"
Wang Ke retorted, "Don't try to fool me. The national television station has already conducted an exclusive interview with mom, which will be broadcast next month. By then, there's no need for secrecy anymore. Why can't I make the film?"
"You're well-informed!"
"Of course, who else but me, mom's little darling?" His pride and childishness bore no resemblance to the shadow of an international director.
As the brothers talked, more guests arrived.
A line of luxury cars outside the estate astonished the live streamers gathered at the perimeter for a scoop.
"Guys, see this? We're outside Chairman Wang of Huashang Group's private estate right now. Look at this, my god, these luxury cars are like they're not even costing money."
The chat was flooded with comments about the various luxury cars.
"The shock in the host's eyes is like a tremor, just like me who has never seen the world."
And when the live stream focused on the guests alighting from these cars at the entrance of the estate, an even crazier barrage of comments exploded.
Oh my, each of these guests is a well-known big shot.
"Ah, I see my husband, husband, husband, look at me, look at me..."
It turned out the camera had captured the welcoming brothers, Wang Ge and Wang Ke, at the entrance.
