As I sit at the bar counter of the cafe my sister drys off the dishes.
"Hey Kota can I ask you something?" "Sure!" "Do-do you have a crush?"
She stops and her eyes go big "Wh-what kinda question is that!?!?!" I look at her confused. She was so flustered.. she.. my face then turns into a slick smile "You do!" I say in a teasing voice. "What the hell! I didn't say I did, I didn't even answer your question!" "You're right you didn't.." I said as I took a sip of my chai tea and set the cup down then continued to talk "But you didn't not answer as well.." She then looked at me with an irritated look "Okay that was some dumb shit Ume would say... you need to stop hanging out so much with him." I giggled some at her comment "I'm just saying usually someone answering a question with a question is trying to dodge answering them!" I say while shrugging my shoulders. Her eyes went big at my comment. Just then the door flung open, it was Sakura and his entire class coming in.. my eyes go wide.
He came up and looked at both of us "hey Kotoha, hey Addalynn"
"Hello.." We both stayed in synch
They all sit down and my sister and I watch as they all pass us to sit. They were talking about what everyone was afraid of. "I'm afraid of ghosts" "I'm afraid of bugs!" "I'm afraid of the dark!" "I'm afraid of explosives!"
As I took a drink I got a sense of feeling .. I looked up as my eyes go big some. I watched as my sister looks over at Sakura with a smile on her face, and a twinkle in her eyes.

That's when I realized she-
"Hey Addie what are you afraid of?" I get nervous of the question.. I look over at them all looking at me, just waiting to hear my answer.
I look away and pick up my drink. I take a sip and hold the cup. "Love..." I take another sip and put it down. Everyone's eyes were wide at my blunt answer.
"It scares the hell out of me." I get up and get ready to walk out but stop. "You never know if what you're feeling for that one person is the same they feel for you. What if you give your absolute all to that person, and they crush your heart? What if you fall so in love and then one day they are gone."
I go to walk out but am stopped "On the other hand what if they do have the same feelings for you? What if their feelings are stronger than the feelings you had for them?.. what if you give your absolute all to them and they give you their heart, love and soul ? What if one day they are gone because they are fighting everyday for you?" My eyes go wide and I turn around to see Suo looking at me with confident eyes. Then I catch a glimpse of Sakura who was staring but he had a different look than I've ever seen before.. he was.. smiling!
"You never know unless you say something and take a chance. Everyone is afraid of the unknown. You just have to trust ."
I then look away and take in what he said. I take a deep breath and let it out.
