SIDDHARTH'S POV

As Abhinav drove off, his car's taillights fading into the distance, I settled into my own car beside Aryan. The engine roared to life, but my mind was elsewhere.

The question had been gnawing at me for days—what could I possibly get for Mehak that would bring a genuine smile to her face? It felt like an impossible puzzle, and the more I thought about it, the more I realized how little I actually knew about her preferences.

The realization hit me like a punch to the gut. My wife. I didn't even know what she liked.

I glanced over at Aryan, who was deeply engrossed in his phone, the blue glow illuminating his face in the dim light of the car. A thought struck me suddenly—why not ask him? After all, he was her brother. He should know her better than anyone else.

"Aryan," I called out, my voice breaking the silence.

"Haan, bolo, Siddharth," Aryan replied, his eyes still glued to the screen, not bothering to look up.

"Do you know what Mehak likes?" I asked, my voice betraying a hint of the uncertainty I felt.

His head snapped towards me, eyes wide with surprise, as if I had just confessed to some heinous crime. "Wah, kaise pati ho tum? Tumhe tumhari patni ki pasand ke baare mein nahi pata?"

"Aryan, vo... mein... vo aisa nahi hai," I stammered, caught off guard by the sharpness in his tone.

"Kitna time hua hai tumhari shaadi ko?" he asked, his voice laced with disbelief.

I hesitated, my mind racing to calculate the days, weeks, and months that had passed. "Hmmm... about two months, maybe a little more," I finally responded, my voice trailing off as I saw the disappointment etched on his face.

"Sharam karo, Siddharth," Aryan muttered, shaking his head. "Tumne meri behen se sirf naam ke liye shaadi ki hai?"

His words left me tongue-tied, a mixture of guilt and frustration bubbling up inside me. "Nahi... nahi, Aryan, aisa nahi hai jaisa tum samajh rahe ho," I tried to explain, my voice urgent. "It's just that... I'm terrible at this. Gifts, gestures... I don't know what to do. That's why I'm asking you. What does she like? And besides, she must get bored sitting in that room all day."

"Buddhu Ram," Aryan scoffed, shaking his head in disbelief. "Meri behen bilkul alag hai. Agar tum usse thoda sa bhi jaante hote toh tumhe pata hota ki use cars aur bikes ka bohot shauk hai. She loves luxury cars, and she loves driving them. She's my little boss princess."
