The days that follow their homecoming from the hospital are harder than either of them expected. Leah is really struggling with the distance between her and Charley while Courtney is struggling with the little girl constantly being attached to her hip. As far as their routine goes, Tommy has just slotted right in making at least that aspect of it easy, along with the fact that both Bunny and Tilly absolutely adore him.

'She'll come round... She just needs some time.' Courtney says softly.

'It's been days, Court. Days, and she's barely even looked at me.' Leah replies, glancing at the little girl who is running slightly ahead of them with Bunny and Tilly.

'I know it's hard, bubs. I know it is, but I promise that it isn't going to be like this forever.' Courtney says.

'It's just shit. It's stupid because I feel like I miss her, and she's actually here... How stupid is that?' Leah says, and Courtney shakes her head.

'It's not stupid at all... You and Charley have always been joined at the hip, so this is a massive change.' Courtney replies.

'I just- I don't want her to feel like I've abandoned her.' Leah says softly.

'She's just overwhelmed. It's a massive change for her, and she just needs to adjust to it.' Courtney replies.

'Mumma... Mumma. Come play on swing? Please?' Charley squeals running back to Courtney.

'Why doesn't mama come push you on the swing?' Courtney suggests.

'No, mumma...' Charley says, grabbing hold of Courtney's hand.

'It's okay... I'm okay, just you go.' Leah replies.

'You sure?' Courtney asks, and Leah nods her head.

'Mm... It's fine, honestly.' Leah replies. She bites her bottom lip as she watches Courtney follow the girls into the playpark while she makes her way towards a bench to take a seat. Physically, she's still feeling a bit rough. The tiredness is still very present as a result of the amount of blood she lost after the birth. Lowering herself onto the bench, she uses her foot to gently rock the pram.

The high-pitched scream startles her as she sits on the bench with Tommy cradled against her chest. Immediately, her head raises to look over at the playpark where she spots Charley lying down, one arm pushing Courtney away as the little girl wails.

'Mama... Want mama.' Charley sobs. Standing up, Leah rushes towards the playpark where Courtney glances up at her, fear written across her face.

'S-She fell off the slide.' Courtney says, and Leah nods her head.

'Mama...' Charley sobs. Standing up, Courtney takes Tommy from the blonde, allowing her to bend down beside the little girl.

'Oh baby girl... I'm here. What hurts? What's hurt?' Leah asks softly.

'My arm...' Charley replies, throwing herself into Leah's arms as she keeps her left arm cradled against her body.

'Okay, baby... Can mama have a look?' Leah asks as tears stream down Courtney's cheeks.

'No. Sore.' Charley says, turning away from Leah as she attempts to touch her arm.

'I know it's sore, but mama needs to have a look to make sure it's okay.' Leah attempts to explain to the little girl. Reluctantly, Charley nods her head and turns slightly to let the blonde inspect her arm.

'Okay... Thank you for letting me look, baby. I think this might need a little trip to the hospital.' Leah says, glancing up at Courtney, who bites her bottom lip.

'I-I didn't even see her coming down. I was watching Tils on the monkey bars.' Courtney says.

'Hey, love... It's okay. These things happen, I think she'll be fine, but I do think we need to get her checked out.' Leah says, and Courtney nods her head.

Six hours, two x-rays and one cast later, Leah makes her way out of the hospital with a sleepy Charley perched on her hip. She makes her way towards the waiting car and opens the back door to carefully put Charley into her carseat. Fastening the straps, she leans down and kisses the top of the little girl's head.

'We'll be home soon, bubby. You can get some sleep if you're tired.' Leah says softly. She closes the door before making her way round to the passenger seat.

'How is she?' Amanda asks softly glancing at the little girl in the rearview mirror.

'She's tired... She's got a small break in her wrist and then one in her upper arm. Four to six weeks in a cast.' Leah replies.

'Oh bless her.' Amanda says.

'How is Courtney?' Leah asks.

'Beating herself up about it.' Amanda replies causing the blonde to sigh.

'I should've been in the park. It's not fair to have left her with the three girls.' Leah says.

'This wasn't any of your faults. These things happen, Leah. Children fall and they get hurt.' Amanda replies reaching over to gently squeeze her daughter's hand.

'Mm... Broken bones at just three years old.' Leah says quietly.

'Accidents happen, Leah. She'll be absolutely fine.' Amanda replies.

'Let's get you both home.' Amanda says softly.

Running her hand over the little girl's head, Leah sighs as she watches her eyes flutter closed, her head resting on the blonde's chest. They've been home a little under two hours, and to say it's been an emotional roller coaster would be an understatement. They've never experienced anything like this with any of the kids so far.

'Take pictures in your mind of your childhood room, memorize what it sounded like when your mum gets home. Remember the footsteps, remember the words said, and all your little brother's favorite songs. I just realized everything I have is someday gonna be gone.'

She sings softly, her finger running down the little girl's cheek as the door creaks open and Courtney peeks her around the bedroom door.

'Hey... Okay?' Courtney asks quietly and Leah nods her head.

'Mm-hmm...' Leah replies smiling as Courtney makes her way into the room and sits on the edge of the bed.

'I can't believe she's broken a bone... Three years old.' Courtney says shaking her head.

'She'll be fine. It was always going to be her, wasn't it? Our little dare devil.' Leah replies adjusting her arm so that the brunette can tuck herself into her side.

'I feel so guilty. I should've been watching her.' Courtney says quietly.

'I should've been in with you. I should never have left you with all three to watch.' Leah replies.

'It wasn't your fault.' Courtney says.

'And it wasn't yours either.' Leah replies.

'Who knew it would take her breaking a bone for her to come around, ey?' Courtney asks laughing slightly.

'Mm... Who knew.' Leah replies.
