Sun peeked through my blinds and birds chirped morning songs. I opened my eyes, and I saw Jade under me realizing that I hadn't moved since yesterday. Smiled at her sleepy face, I felt like I was in a corny ass cartoon movie, but I wasn't complaining. I

I took my arms from under her trying to get free but it only made her grip me tighter, it was super cute. I lied in her grasp scrolling on my phone with zero volume not wanting to wake her. An hour or so passed by before Jade stirred awake. "Good morning gorgeous," I whispered in her ear before kissing her neck. "Mhm hi baby, what time is it." She asked her eyes shut trying to block out the sunlight.

"It's about 9:38 why." I swiped the hair out her face letting the loose strands frame her face. "Good we can stay in bed for longer," She rolled over to her side taking me with her, I giggled at her antics, "No baby you've got to go like right now my parents are home"

I finally push her away, standing up to peer out my window facing the driveway. "Yeah they parked on the curb you can go without then meeting you, you have to leave.," I gather her phone and jacket throwing it on her lifeless body. When she didn't move I grabbed her arms forcing her to stand up on her feet. "I know I'm being an ass but they already know that you've been here and I didn't ask permission for you to stay over."

"Fine, fine, I'll go but I refuse to be sneaking around like this. You've gotta tell them Salem." She kisses me before running downs stairs and out to her car. "Fuck you're right Jade. I sigh rubbing my temples.

I change out of my clothes from the previous night into a cringy emoji pajama set that I bought in my weird phase, and walk over to my bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my phase. I walk over to my brothers room barging in flickering the lights.

"Stop that shit Salem, it's not funny." I leave the lights on and I sit on the edge of the bed, "I'm coming out to Mama and Baba." My comment brings him to full consciousness making him straight up and look at me bug-eyed. "Are you sure? This is huge."

I stop fidgeting with my fingers and clench the into a fist confirming my sincerity. "I'm ready it's been long enough"

He smiles wide, "No matter what they say, I'll stand by you." I give him a contempt smile.

I walk to my parents hesitating before I a finally know. "Mama, can I come in." It's silent before my mom mumbles a yes. "Yes, come in Salem." I walk in greeting my mom and dad in bed, trying to stay awake. "can we talk in the living room about the car in the driveway?" Their eyes open understanding that I'm serious.

"So you wanted to tell us about the jeep in the driveway." My Baba says sitting down by my nervous mother.

"Yes," I take a deep breath before I I spill everything out. "So remember how sad I was a few years back?

"Honey, sad is an understatement. You almost killed yourself. We all where very concerned about you, we almost lost you." My mom said in a hushed whisper like here was people listening in, tears welling up in both of their eyes.

"Ok so, in my sophomore year I met this girl names MaKayla she made me realize that I am lesbian, she was my first girlfriend but she also was the cause of my problem. She pressured me into things that I didn't want to do, and it got really bad when she sexually assaulted me when I was under the influence. After that I was distraught and I broke up with her but the damage was already done, I had nightmares almost every night of that instance and you know the rest. But recently I met this girl in school a few months ago and we have become really close, she actually helped me a lot. She's nice, understanding, never pushed me to do anything I didn't want to, she has straight A's and her family is well respectable. I wanted to tell you this because I want to take the next step with her and I want to let you guys know."

I look down at my shaking hands and I feel my knee bouncing up and down. I could hear my parents speak in hushed whispers making my stomach twist even more, "So you are lesbian? You don't like men?" My Baba asks after a little while. "Yeah basically."

"Do you really like her?" I mom asked with concern in her voice. I nod my head not bothering to look up at him.

"You know, since you have meet this girl, you have been acting like your old self, the Salem we missed." My mom gets up and sits down beside be and put a hand on my shoulder, "As long as she makes you happy, I approve of this relationship, and you father does too." I let out a deep breath that I didn't realize that I was holding. I pull my mom in a tight hug and soon after my dad joins. "I'm so happy you understand.

"Of course we do dear, that's what parents are for, we love you so so much. Me and your father do."
