No one's POV

It was a slow day since the Hero Killer incident had just recently been resolved. The several Heroes who had relocated for the hunt of the killer had made their way back to their cities which allowed for more Heroes able to respond to each situation. And so, the day ended with another sparring session between both Nhazul and Mirko.

This time they were both coming with a greater intensity than the previous days, given Nhazul's new technique. Matching blow for blow. Mirko seemed to be hunting him even more ferocious than before and Nhazul matched her stride for stride. The training room suffered as well, holes being opened in walls and burns dragging across the room and to the ceiling. Mirko noticed something as the fighting continued. Nhazul's fighting style was tighter than it had been when he first arrived, having fully adapted to fighting at close range. He looked and moved sharper using his whole body to counter, along with using a combination of Long, mid and close range combat styles.

Mirko: You've gotten stronger in these few days, Sparks! You must be some kind of genius!

Mirko called as she bounded off the walls to attack. Nhazul focused on dodging and tracking her before he responded.

Nhazul: I'm not a genius, but I appreciate the praise!

Nhazul called as he landed a solid kick against Mirko, sending her sliding a bit before she grabbed his extended leg and flung him into the wall.

Mirko: We'll call it there. I'm glad your time wasn't wasted.

Nhazul nodded, as he pulled himself out of the wall. Despite having improved slightly, there was only so much he could evolve within a week. However, Mirko had showed him the key to be a great Hero was to be able to adapt.

The next morning Mirko saw Nhazul out and to the train station. Nhazul was quite excited to go back and see how his classmates had improved, but he'd be lying if he said he wouldn't miss working with Mirko.

Nhazul: Listen, Mirko, thank you for taking me in and showing me the ropes this week. I'm sorry I caused you so much trouble in my week here.

Mirko sighed as she heard the apology.

Mirko: I knew it was too good to be true that you'd leave without apologizing. Listen, Sparks, if you did everything perfectly all the time you wouldn't be human. And if you're worried about the money, just send me your first few checks when you go Pro.

Mirko would then take Nhazul's phone, putting her number in.

Mirko: Here's my number in case you ever want to work with me again if I'm ever in the area. I'm normally a solo act, but having you around was pretty fun.

Mirko said with smile, rubbing his head. Nhazul's eyes began to steam a little bit, before smiling as well. The two having formed a pretty close bond in just a week.

Nhazul: One day for sure Mirko!

Nhazul said, before getting on the train to go home. As his train rode off into the distance. Mirko stayed for a while before going her own separate way. She looked forward to teaming up with Nhazul again. It may have gone against her policy but there were always exceptions to the rules.
