The plague (sun moon eclipse)

       You woke up before your shift feeling like you had been hit by a semi. You sat up groggily checking your phone to make sure you weren't late. With only an hour you pushed yourself up out of bed and got ready. With each step towards the door your steps seemed to get heavier.

     None the less you pushed through the feeling and made it to work. When you were at the side door you turned your key and opened the door. Your eyes burned from the sudden contrast from dark to blindingly bright. You shielded your eyes giving them more time to adjust as you walked inside locking the door behind you.

     You immediately saw sunny hopping joyously towards you. You smiled at him and started walking towards him. You made it maybe 2 feet before you collapsed. You tried to speak but your voice came out hoarse and your throat burned.

"SUNSHINE WHAT'S WRONG?" Sun exclaimed no longer hopping but running and dropping to his knees at your side

   "Hold on Sunbeam, let me check your temperature" He placed his hand on your forehead and his eyes blinked red twice.

"GOODNESS SUNSHINE YOU'RE BURNING UP!" He exclaimed quickly scooping you up and carrying you over to one of the couches

    He laid you down and rubbed your hair before hopping off and disappearing behind the counter. He returned a few moments later with medicine, water and 20 or so snacks. He looked like he was panicking as he opened a snack and pulled a few out to feed you.

   "I know you probably aren't hungry sunlight but you can't have medicine on a empty stomach" he said quietly

    You had never heard Sun sound so worried, you slowly ate the snack as he fed it to you. After you finished the snack he gave you one of the pills putting it in your mouth before helping you drink water to swallow it. He then ran back behind the counter and came back with a star blanket draping it over you.

  "I'm going to turn the lights off now and moon will take over so you can get a good rest" sun beamed quietly giving you a kiss on the forehead

"..." you nodded with a small smile

  He got up and bounced over to the light switch flipping it down the daycare going dark. Within a few seconds the red light from moons eyes illuminated you. He placed his hand over your forehead his eyes blinking orange twice.

"I'm glad your fever went down a tiny bit" he whispered rubbing your hair gently

"It's time to go to sleep starlight, do you want me to read you a bedtime story?" He asked gently holding a few books out in front of you

  You looked over the selection and picked 'Insert Kids book idk'. Moon smiled gently as he set the other books down and opened the cover to your chosen book. He began to read and with each page that passed you felt your eyes grow heavier.

  He continued to read getting quieter as to lead you into a deep sleep. The last thing you heard was him whispering goodnight as he gently closed the book. While asleep you dreamed of your dear dear author who ALWAYS uploads on time and NEVER fails you.

You awoke from this very strange and realistic dream to see that the lights were dim. You sat up slowly a damp washcloth falling from your forehead. You assumed moon had placed it there while you were asleep.

"Eclipse...?" You called out quietly your voice mostly returned and your throat not as sore

"Yes love?" He asked coming over to you and kneeling beside you "How are you feeling?"

"I'm alright, definitely better now." You smiled gently cupping his face "thank you all for taking care of me"

"Of course darling, I'm glad you were here with us and not all alone" he said gently putting his hands over yours

  He pulled you into his chest wrapping both sets of his arms around yours and hugging you. You returned his hug wrapping your arms around him as well. He felt cool against your warm skin making you lean into him more until you were completely pressed against him.

"You still need to lay down" he said gently pulling you up and sitting beside you

  He laid down on the couch pulling you into his chest so you were laying on him. Your body completely pressed against his cool exterior. He pulled the blanket over you and him so you were the perfect temperature. You lay there cuddled up to him as he rubbed your hair gently.

  You felt a lot better than you had earlier but still groggy. At least you didn't still feel like you had been hit by a truck. Eclipse being here with you sure did help you soothe your symptoms. His gentle company was so comforting anytime but especially while you were sick.

As your clouded thoughts ran on eclipse brushed your hair out of your face and felt your forehead smiling at your new temperature. He then brushed your hair behind your ear and reached down his face plate close to your ear.

"Darling you are so cute even when sick and I love taking care of you" he whispered

"really?" you asked

    "Of course you're always cute, however theres a lot we cant do when you aren't feeling well so please get better soon my love" He smiled giving you a kiss on the forehead

"ill try to get better quickly then" you mumbled laying your head back on his chest

"Im looking forward too it" he smiled returning his hand to your head

    Between the temperature, him rubbing your hair and his soft hum you quickly fell back asleep. You ended up being sick for another day and a half but made a full recovery. Sun, Moon, and Eclipse were so delighted to see that you were healthy again.
