As Arjun promised his dad his shoulders felt heavy.

He never had to shoulder any responsibility before this. He might be good at academics but when it comes to shouldering responsibilities he was always kept under roof.

Rohi was better at that may be because after her Ma passed away she was responsible for herself because her Pa loved Arjun more than her also she didn't want to trouble both of Arjun's parents.

Though she acted rough sometimes but never did she made anyone responsible for her. May be that was the reason when she agreed to marry Parth nobody could say anything because it was her decision alone like rest of the decisions.

She might have taken wrong decisions at times but as she was solely responsible for them, nobody had a say. She always had that wall around her that nobody could break.

She had allowed Arjun inside that boundary quite a few times knowingly or unknowingly and nobody knows her better than him. So now that she is on the hospital bed and as a husband he had to take her responsibility for the first time he felt that he could be her shelter. The one who can make her live the life she wants to.

She might have happy go lucky nature but in reality she was more mature and thoughtful then any of them. As he was thinking about what should he do he entered the room where she was treated.

He took her hand in his hand and sat on the chair nearby.

"Rohi how many times you are making me do this? Once wasn't enough?" He asked complaining.

"You want me to go on hunger strike again? I might have to come up with something different this time." He said incoherently.

"Tell me what it is Rohi. I know whatever it might be inside your mind. As you are fully fine physically this rejection can only be possible because you heart is rejecting something subconsciously.

What I understand is that your mind and heart is not on same page. Is it something because of our marriage?

Don't you want to be with me? But I thought we have already discussed it that we will find a perfect partner for one another and we go on separate ways." The moment he said that Arohi's heart started thumping heavily making her gasps for air.

Arjun was in panic as to what was happening and he tried to take out his hand out of her hand to go and call his dad but when he did that Arohi made her grip tight on his hand not letting him move at that moment it dawned on him that she didn't like going separate ways.

'What an idiot' he thought. She was the one who wanted to be far away from him by getting married to Parth now that I just mention about separating she reacts this way.

I am not leaving this idiot in this lifetime. This hypocrite has something else in heart and what she says is totally different. Fine let's play this game our entire life. As he thought this he put his other hand on Arohi's hand and said.

"Hot head no need to react like this we are not separating at the moment but if you continue to behave like this then I am done with you." When he said this Arohi was more panicked.

"Relax idiot don't give me a fright. Just get up and we will discuss okay. We will be together for lifetime." Just as the words came out of Arjun's mouth he put Arohi's hand near his heart and within few seconds she calmed down again going back to sleeping state.

Arjun shook his head and looked at his wife lovingly. He didn't know what to do. "I HATE HER FOR DOING THIS TO ME BUT..." his thoughts again faded.

Fortunately for the time being Arohi was stable.

He was thinking of what had just happened when suddenly he had a Eureka moment.

He mulled over Arohi's condition he can clearly see that she is not stable in mind. Her mind is trying to reject her heart.

First Arjun thought that she was in this state because of him that she doesn't want to stay with him, if you think it properly he is still the cause of her state but it was the opposite.

Her mind is rejecting her heart which wants to stay with Arjun.

He repeated the sequence of her illness years back at that time she defeated him. It might be that her mind told her to defeat Arjun but heart said otherwise. She was just 14 years old at that time and she couldn't able to handle this making her fall in that terrible state.

This time it's the other way round. She had kept her heart closed for many years but slowly her heart was winning over which her mind was not accepting.

Her mind is accustomed to win for many years Arohi's sudden heart conflict took a toll on it. Arohi herself might not have realized what has happened but as Arjun thought all the things thoroughly he came to the conclusion that she must be handled in a very delicate way.

Her heart and mind must come in sync.

He didn't know how he would do that but he has to make her believe that at times she can let go of things. At times even she needs someone to lean on.

She must be protected from herself. She has every right in the world to be happy. But why was her mind and heart not in sync is it because of Ma's accident?

As Arjun thought about everything things became more clear to him. Now he was waiting for her to wake up. He will make sure that she comes out of this trauma.

He owes this to his former best friend. He knows he was the cause of her mother's death. Because of him she never got her father's love which she deserved but he was going to take her out of this trauma which was hunting her for nearly 16 years.

He didn't know if he will be able to love her someday with all his heart but he will give her whatever she wants. If she wants fight he will fight with her same as before.

This is what he had already given her when they turned into enemy. Now if she again wants to be his friend then fine he will give her that friendship he will make sure she will not feel that she is betraying her mother.

He will make her understand her mother loved him the same way his mother loves her. But first she needs to wake up.

He put his hand on her Arohi's head and slowly caressed her hair. Then bend down and kissed her forehead and slowly whispered in her ear.

"Rohi time to wake up. Things are going to change the way you want. You will never feel left out again. I won't do the mistake of leaving you alone like I did two years back. Now we are together for lifetime like it or not. You just need to wake up sweetie and everything will fall into place." As he said this he squeezed and kissed Arohi's hand. And just like that as if Arohi heard everything he said she moved her hand once again he felt that she is waking up but when he saw her face he could see a tear drop on her cheeks.

"Can she hear me?" Arjun thought.

"She must have rather her heart must have heard me. She might not remember it when she wakes up but I am sure that her heart is at ease because now her heart knows it is not alone. We are together in this and we will make sure her mind bends to her heart at least on this." Arjun said determined.

Arjun kept staring her for a long time and then he doesn't know when he fell asleep on the chair resting his head on Arohi's bed and her hand in his hand.

At about seven in the morning finally with the light of the sun Arohi slowly opened her eyes calling out a name that was very dear to her life.

"Arjun"
