"HOW CAN I HATE HER ALL THIS WHILE?" the question made Arjun very restless. The emotionless Arohi was like a torment to him.
"Arohi" Arjun called her softly
Arohi snapped out of her trance when she heard Arjun calling her.
"You didn't answer me. Will you forgive me?" said Arjun
"It is very difficult Arjun. Those things in the past are still fresh in my mind." Arohi said keeping down her head.
"I know Rohi can you at least try?" Arjun was hopeful.
"Do you think even if I forgive you and we became friends again will we be able to fulfill the vows of the marriage?" Arohi asked again
"Marriage vows are too much I agree." Arjun said thinking.
"So let's end the marriage." Arohi said casually
As soon as Arjun heard this he felt a jolt in his stomach.
"End marriage?" Is she serious?" thought Arjun
Looking at Arjun's face Arohi continued.
"You were the first one to propose divorce have you forgotten? I was in bad state at that time therefore I couldn't think properly.
Now that I have thought of everything thoroughly I feel like you were right. Let's part ways. I can think of being friends again as you have done so much for me in past few days but marriage....
While Arohi was still talking Arjun came forward and kissed her on her lips. It was so sudden that Arohi couldn't even understand what was happening until Arjun deepened his kiss. When Arohi was out of breath Arjun pulled out and said.
"Didn't you feel anything? No emotions?" Arjun asked complaining.
"What you mean?" asked Arohi
"I know you like it when I kiss you. You have participated before and even allowed me to kiss you.
When you felt I was dying on that football ground you poured out your heart, you were about to say I can't live without you that was when you understood you are being played.
I never brought that up as there was no need but we are married now. If your body can understand me we can work out the marriage. Isn't it?" Arjun said trying to justify himself.
Arohi was looking at him shocked.
"Is this what you think? Marriage is all about being physical?" Arohi asked him still in shock
"No, you love me I know that. We can work out." Arjun said almost losing his senses
"Love you. I was thinking if we could be friends but no, this is not possible. You have forgotten how to understand me Arjun. We may have kissed before but do you interpret it this way? Why are you in such haste? If you feel I love you what about you? Do you love me?" asked Arohi now clearly angry.
When Arjun heard this he was completely stumped with nothing to say.
"It doesn't work one way Arjun. But in this case there is also no two ways. I was trying to get soft on you but no I HATE YOU. I HATE YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART." Arohi shouted crying.
Arjun knew he has hurt her again. He was too impulsive. He could not make her understand.
Arohi started leaving in the opposite direction but suddenly she felt a jolt in the heart. As if it was disconnecting itself from her.
