After having food and spending some more time together all left for their tent. Arjun and Arohi didn't move as they had something to discuss.
They were not going to discuss it in the tent firstly as the tents were nearby and they could be overheard. Secondly they want to discuss in an open space in case if they need to fight tent won't be a better place. In this case their minds work in sync.
They saw everyone settling in their tent and Arjun came to Arohi who was sitting at the farthest end. He sat near her but both of them didn't talk for a while.
Both were trying to figure out how to start. Fighting was easy for them compared to talking civilized.
After about a minute or two Arjun started.
"So how was your day?"
Arohi thought is this how you want to talk? But she still answered.
"It was fine. We all were waiting for this break. We thought it will be earlier after your return but then you know how the things turned for us so well finally we could all spend some quality time, all thanks to you."
"This is better than going to honeymoon right?" asked Arjun
"Definitely" Arohi answered instantly.
"So what do you think about our marriage?" Arjun finally started the topic.
"Well, to be very frank marrying you was spot on, you know that too but I would first like to know is this marriage hindering you in anything." Arohi was calm
"As of now no, we are good. We just share a room it's like I am in hostel. We have been to hostel before right?" asked Arjun
"True but again..."Arohi hesitated.
"Can you open up? Clear out whatever you have in mind." said Arjun
"Can we be real husband and wife if we continue this marriage?" Arohi was hesitant in asking
"I don't know I seriously don't know." Arjun was also hesitant.
"At any instant can you ever like me like..." Arohi's voice faded
"Like wife?" completed Arjun
"Hmmm."
"Can you like me like husband?" Arjun asked
"I was the first one to ask." complained Arohi
"May be we can be friends. We have been before right?" Arjun said hesitatingly.
"Will it be enough to continue our marriage?" Asked Arohi
"You didn't answer me can you like me like a husband?" Arjun demanded.
Arohi thought for a while and said.
"Have you forgotten what happened two years back? Do you think trusting you will not hurt me? Keeping aside the fact about Ma's death still what about what happened two years back?"
Arjun was silent he knew she had given him a chance to become friends two years back but he couldn't take that chance.
He laughed at her mocked her and almost crushed her.
She left him there and decided to cut complete ties with him so in two years she never called him. Even when there was family video call she never appeared.
After she left he knew how much pain he has inflicted on her. She must have cried because she had lost him again.
He thought he has to take revenge on her for making him suffer for almost 14 years but he went overboard he was not fully matured at that time. Once she left he knew that he has done wrong and he stared to change for good.
