Everything that had happened to me felt like a dream. I didn't know what to do or what I should do. I woke up, to my surprise, in my own bed. I felt lightheaded.

"How am I in the north?" Octavia mumbled.

I opened the windows to get some air. Walking out of my room, I went downstairs and into the kitchen. Every maid was reading the latest paper that had just come in.

Their eyes were in shock. I could sense something wasn't right. They looked paralyzed.

"What's on the paper? Did they write more lies again?" Octavia asked, reaching her hands out.

The maid handed the paper slowly to Octavia and said, "I'm sorry, princess."

I took one look at the title of the paper and froze. I didn't know what to do, what to say. This can't be true. She wouldn't have done something like this.

"OH, the heavens! The paper finally arrived. I am so excited to see what I have in store," Eleanor smirked.

"OH, so the truth is out. The king was killed by..."

"Where is my daughter? Tell me now, Sammy!" the King of the North demanded.

"King of the North, I am sorry. I really don't know what happened," Sam looked down in fear.

"Then what happened? She couldn't have vanished into thin air," the king struck back.

"Relax, Nathaniel. You don't have to stress. She could be around," Ethan suggested.

"Don't you dare tell me to relax, Ethan! This isn't your daughter, is it? Your kingdom always has something sinister happening. I don't care! All I want to know is where my daughter is, dammit!" Nathaniel shouted.

George came running, "Everyone look, the paper came out. Apparently, someone from the North killed the King of the West."

"What?!" everyone exclaimed in shock.

"Also, your daughter is back at the kingdom. She went home."

In that instant, the king didn't wait for anything. He quickly got out of the kingdom and immediately went home.

"How did you know she returned home?" Anthony asked.

"Actually, I don't. I just guessed," George admitted.

"Oh well, Ethan, it seems like we will keep in touch. I don't want to stay here and end up dead," Susan said, walking outside.

"Oh, come on now, Susan. Don't you want to stay a little?" Ethan begged.

"No, darling. I don't want to end up like someone I knew. Actually, someone we both knew very well, Ethan."

**Chapter 3: The Accusation**

"It couldn't be her! I know her. Why would she do it?" Octavia screamed.

"Well, my queen, it's because she was a poor person who needed a way to get money. Why else?" Eleanor said.

"Don't you dare speak ill of her like you know her!" Octavia retorted.

"Well, my queen, the truth hurts. She wasn't your friend. She was just a poor woman waiting to steal," Eleanor insisted.

Octavia took a few steps forward, having had enough, and slapped Eleanor on her face. In that brief moment, that wasn't the normal Octavia.

"Now listen here, you cook. You won't disrespect Sasha in front of me, you understand? Know your place," Octavia retorted.

Outside, screams could be heard and smoke from the distance. Octavia knew what was going on and quickly ran outside. She saw the smoke and fire and immediately ran to the forest.

"My queen, it's not safe. Come back. We will escort you," the royal guards said.

Octavia didn't care at all. She ran as her dress got torn and dirty. She also fell down a hill but continued to run. She had reached the village.

Octavia saw Sasha being beaten by a group of people. She ran and begged the people to stop.

"Please wait! Don't! Please stop!" Octavia mumbled in shock.

"My father! My brothers! Please spare them! I'm begging you!" Sasha screamed over and over.

Octavia, crying, saw Victor at the windows of the burning house. She saw him suffocate and fall as the house collapsed right in front of everyone's eyes.

The people were satisfied with seeing Sasha defeated. She saw everything burn down. She was in shock.

As the people left, Sasha lay on the floor. Octavia held her tightly. All Octavia could hear was Sasha crying and screaming.

"Why? Why my father and brother? They were the only things I had. Why would they do this to me? What's going on?" Sasha cried.

The echoes of Sasha's screams, begging for her family to return, echoed. Her brother and father were killed right before her eyes. I didn't know what to do, what to say to her.

"Sasha, I'm..." I leaned in to hold her.

"Octavia, please don't. They framed me and burned down every last bit I had. Everything I worked for is gone. My father was near death because I couldn't afford medicine for him. My brother felt useless because he couldn't help me," she cried out. "WHY?! BRING THEM BACK TO ME! PLEASE BRING BACK MY FATHER AND BROTHER!"

The royal guards arrived and saw how dirty and hurt Octavia looked from running through the forest. They came and tried to get her home.

"Ms. Octavia, please return to the castle. It's not safe here."

"Yes, I forgot. Sorry. Please take Sasha to my room after she gets bathed. We need to discuss."
