"Today is quite busy, isn't it, Sasha? It seems like everyone is really busy today," Octavia remarked as they walked through the palace. The place looked more stunning than usual, with everyone getting ready for the afternoon meeting with the other kingdoms.
"Octavia, let's go back to your room so you may change. You're still in your nightdress," Sasha politely requested.
"Sasha, calm down. Nothing bad will happen, also why...." Something went through Octavia's spine. She felt a cold breeze as they walked into the ballroom. She felt him, his touch. The man she only saw in the middle of the night. As she walked, she felt his presence, his aura.
"Octavia, what's wrong?" Sasha gently poked Octavia.
"I felt him, the man I...."
"You mean Victor?" Sasha pointed.
"Hey, I'm Victor. Nice to meet you, and who are you?"
"Have some respect, she's the queen-to-be, QUEEN OCTAVIA," Sasha frowned.
"I don't mind at all. Nice to meet you, Victor," Octavia smiled, reaching out her hand.
He fell for her just by the sight of her beautiful smile. He knew she was the one but also knew dating non-royals wasn't allowed. But he didn't care; he wanted to make her his wife.
"Likewise, Octavia," Victor reached out his hand. "Sadly, I can't stay. I have to go back to work for the meeting."
"Bye, Octavia."
"Bye, Victor.""Sasha, is the meeting also part of the ballroom dance?"
"Well, no and yes. The ball will occur at midnight, but we first have to set up for the kingdoms' meeting, which is going to happen in a few hours. Which reminds me, you have to go to school."
"I'm not really interested in going, but that's the duty of a future queen. Bye, Sasha," Octavia ran to her room to change.
"She still has to learn how to speak like a proper queen, but we'll fix that," Sasha smiled while putting the hairpin on.
"When did you start being best friends with royalty?" Victor smiled, holding a ladder.
"She gave me her hairpin and said I could call her by her name. Doesn't it mean we are friends?" Sasha raised a brow.
"That's so cute. My sister is acting so childish," Victor chuckled.
"Don't mock me. Just because you're older doesn't mean anything."
"I'm still older, Sasha. Also, Dad is not doing okay. He needs treatment," Victor whispered.
"Excuse me, Sasha, may you please stop speaking to your brother? You're needed in the kitchen. Your cooking is to die for, remember?"
"Yes, Headmistress, I'll be right there," Sasha lowered her head in respect. "Victor, I'll handle it. Don't go back to what you did for a living before I got you this job, just because you want to help out."
"Don't push yourself, Sasha. I'm older but I still fail to make half the amount you make, which is why I'll prove I'm useful."
