Here is chapter 25 I was thinking of making this chapter a side story(maybe 3 chapters) but I'll think it through so yeah chapter 26 titled: Truth/Lies?!
The East—a kingdom surrounded by lies, hate, violence, and betrayal. That's what this kingdom is known for. But now, I finally have the chance to find out the truth. How am I not part of the royal family?
_Eastern Garden_
"Father, tell me you didn't send George to the North without an additional plan. What would happen if he told the North about everything we've done?" Sam said, his voice tight with anxiety.
"Yes, I believe it was best if you had sent me or Sam," Anthony added.
"You naive boys. Don’t you think? I don’t think you do. Octavia hates the both of you. If I had sent either one of you, she would have instantly found out what we are trying to do," the king said, his tone dripping with disdain.
"I understand. Then what exactly do we do, Father, since you're saying we should have faith in George?" Sam asked, trying to hide his irritation.
"I didn't say such a thing, did I? Sam, you should learn to listen. This attitude of yours won't get you closer to my position of king."
Anthony snapped. "I’m tired of this! Why don’t you tell us why you tricked Sam? Why you did all of this? Don’t you see what you’ve done?"
"I did nothing. I explained why Henry had to be killed. He wasn't of royal blood, and we both know we can't have non-royals run the kingdom. And I believe that's not the question you wanted to ask."
The king turned around, taking a deep breath, and looking Anthony dead in the eyes. "Tell me, Anthony, the reason why you’re scared. Is it because you hate the measures your father has taken to secure our bloodline? Or are you angry because killing might not have been the answer? Or are you angry because you're afraid of what you’ve become?" With each word, he came closer, touching Anthony's neck. In a cold-blooded way, he said, "KILLERS FOR THE SAKE OF THE KINGDOM."
"Bravo, Father. Or wait—the king of the East," Henry walked in, clapping his hands as he stood next to the king, whispering, "Kill him. Isn't that what you are good at? Or wait, you can’t because you’re used to people doing it for you."
The king let go and cleared his throat. "Henry, you have no right to be in the human world nor standing here. The dead should remain dead. You continue to spoil my mood just by hearing your voice."
"Why don’t you stay gone?"
"No, thank you. As you know, in those books George reads, the vengeful spirit will return for what originally belonged to him."
"Sadly, you're dead and nothing belonged to you. Both you and I know how this story ends. Henry, continue being vengeful. Continue walking in the human world for all I care," the king said dismissively.
"I believe you're not here. The reason I see you now is because of the guilt I felt, and for some reason, that guilt I buried a long time ago has returned."
"You don’t feel guilty, Ethan. We both know it. But don’t worry, everything is okay for now at least," Henry chuckled.
"Sam and Anthony, why don’t we play a little game? The game will be hide and seek. I'll hide in the library. Look for the book _DeAngel_. Once you find it, ask your father who that book belonged to and then ask him how the owner of the book died. Before Henry disappeared, he said, 'If he refuses to tell you, go to the end of the book. Mother left you a letter just for her children.'"
Anthony wasted no time and ran to the castle, with Sam following close behind. The king, still stunned, never thought he would hear the name of that book again. Sam and Anthony finally reached the library. They searched and searched and finally found it. Before they opened the book, the king arrived.
"Father, whose book is this and how did they die?" Anthony asked shakily. "And remember, if you lie, the last page will tell us the truth."
"It's your mother's, Queen Emma. And that's her book. She herself wrote it. It's like her diary—no, it’s her diary."
Anthony and Sam stared at their father, the weight of his words sinking in. They turned their attention to the book in their hands, its worn cover and fragile pages a testament to its age and significance.
With trembling hands, Anthony opened the book. The pages were filled with their mother's delicate handwriting
