My friends, Allen Black and his boyfriend John Murphy were on a camping trip, currently, and so far it wasn't going very well. John forgot our sleeping bags and now we have to sleep on the cloth flooring of the tent. John and Allen are both my very best friends, and they both started dating a few months after John told me he was gay. Which was 3 months ago.
We were currently eating the tuna rolls I'd packed from home.
"So, any guys you've been interested in at work, Soph?" Allen asked, brushing his black hair out of his eyes. He looked at John, who'd been staring at him for a while. Allen then kissed him and my tuna roll suddenly tasted tooth-rottenly sweet.
"No." I said, wiping my mouth with a tissue, "don't tell me you already forgot about Daniel..."
Allen's smile vanished as quickly as it had appeared and anger took place in his eyes.
Daniel was my ex... who'd tore my heart right out of my chest and cast it away like garbage.
Dramatic, yes, but it fits the situation so well. I sighed and put the lid on my box.
I gave Allen a reassuring smile. "I'm sure things will work out soon enough. I'm going for a walk."
and with that, I set off on my own. In the woods. At night.Bad idea.
