Sophia's POV:

I was buzzing with nerves as I put on the hoodie the man gave me. He didn't look too older than me, he seemed around my age, actually.

The hoodie was clearly a girl's; cause it fit me perfectly around my small waist. I just dusted off my old pants and was about to wear them, when I realised I hadn't looked in the wardrobe that was in the room. There had to some clothes in there.

I came out of the bathroom and looked around, just for caution. I sighed and went over to the wardrobe and opened it. It was a huge walk in closet with at least a hundred clothes!

Dresses, jeans, shirts, pants, underwear and everything else a girl would need. I smiled, but then I realised, how the hell did he get my shoe and clothes' size?

I was too distracted by all the pretty clothes to think about it too much. Then, without wasting anymore time, I picked out a blue crop top and a white skirt with black ballet flats that had little bows on them. They were cute and they went with my outfit.

I rubbed the sweat off of my palms on my skirt and got out of my room to go downstairs.

As soon as I stepped down the last step, I was met by at least 10 pairs of eyes.

Including that of the man's.

My palms were sweating so bad. The man eyed me up and down.

"Human, why don't you tell us your name?" He said, "But, first I think I should introduce myself to you. My name is Kai Bei. I am Alpha of the Silver Falls Pack, and the with holder of the territory you walked into so carelessly. These people in the room with me are my hunters."

"Alpha..." I thought, "He's a wolf! I read about them in the mythical creature books."

"You're not human..?" I asked him.

He laughed, deep and rumbling. The person sitting beside him, a boy about my age with amber hair and heterochromia eyes smiled at me. "No, no, no, no, no, you sweet little thing. None of us are... you do know what werewolves are, yes?" He asked.

I nodded.

"And do you know what or rather who it was you encountered in the woods earlier before Alpha Kai saved you?"

I finally realised where he was going with this. I was visibly shocked and he laughed at my expression.

"That was you." I said, looking at him with wide eyes, "You wanted to kill me."

"Oh, no, no, no!" He said, "I simply wanted to scare you."

Kai then cleared his throat and said, "What's your name, woman?"

"Sophia. Sophia Hayes." I said. I wiped my hands on my skirt and sighed, "Um, I got lost in the woods while I was going for a walk."

Kai's scowl deepened. "Stupid enough to go on a walk alone in woods you don't know your way around. Yet, smart enough to figure out what kind of creatures we are." He said, amusement in his moon-like eyes.

I frowned. "Why did you save me?"

Kai looked at the hunters and dismissed them with a growl. He got up and came towards me after they had all left.

"Because," he started, roughly grabbing my wrist, "My father is dying and his dying wish is for me to find a mate and create an heir to the throne of the pack."

My eyes widened, "No! Absolutely not!" I said, snatching my wrist free from his iron grip.

"Too late. Father is frustrated and he expects me to now mate with the girl I brought home to save. Biggest mistake of my life." He spat. He stepped closer, and I stepped back.

He frowned and then said, "The mating ceremony will be next month. You are to stay in this house with me and the rest of the pack. You will have a someone assigned to you to show you everything. I suggest you regain your strength. Have breakfast with the pack and get some sleep."

Kai then gestured for me to follow and started walking. I sighed as I walked behind him, following him to the dining room. His house was freaking mansion.

Literally.

"Cory will show you around, Sophia." Kai said, nodding towards the wolf with amber hair. Kai edged me closer to Cory and then left. I took a shaky breath as Cory turned around and smiled.

"So, Alpha Kai wants you to hang out with me, eh?" Cory teased. I smiled and blushed a bit.

"Yeah. He said that you were going to show me around." I told him. Cory gave me a heart-throbbing smile, his fang catching his bottom lip just barely.

"I'd be glad, Sophia. Oh, by the way, sorry for the scare last night." He said, sheepishly scratching the back of his neck.

I looked out the window and saw that it was early morning. Yes! I could look for Allen!

Regardless of how nervous I was, when Cory took me around the mansion to show me everything, everyone who greeted me was very nice to me.

I think I'm going to like it here.
