You woke up the next morning to find that Scrooge was already awake and ready for the day. He was sitting in a chair in the corner, reading the same book he had been before you went to sleep. Groaning, you pushed your (h/c) hair out of your face, trying to make yourself look like less of a mess as you woke up.
"Morning!" Scrooge chirped as you shoved the blankets off of you. You swung your legs over the bedside as you yawned.
"Good morning," You said sleepily. "I'm going to go get ready-"
"Ah, right." Scrooge marked his page and set the book on the small table beside him, exchanging it for his top hat. "Mrs. Beakley hasn't brought up my tea, so I guess I'll have to- eh-heh-" He cleared his throat with a blush- "I'll just wait outside the door while you get ready."
You groaned. "Right. Let's get this over with, I'll... try to be quick."
You rushed to get ready in your room as Scrooge continuously called in to check that you were still 'alone.' It was ten minutes before you emerged from your chambers and accompanied Scrooge downstairs and into the dining room.
"Webby!" You said happily as you saw the little duck waiting at the dining table. "Good morning, sweetie."
"Good morning, Aunt (Y/n)!" She replied as you sat across from her, with Scrooge taking his customary seat at the head of the table. "I got you your coffee!"
You reached across the table to take the glass from her. It looked as perfect as when Mrs. Beakley made it.
"Have you seen your granny?" Scrooge asked. "She didn't bring up my nutmeg tea this morning."
"Oh!" You heard Webby say, though you were still only half awake as you took your first sip of coffee. "I can make your tea!"
Webby leapt from the table and darted over to the tea cart in the corner of the room before Scrooge could protest. The young girl made the tea just to Scrooge's liking, and told him that it was the same tea bag that they'd been using the entire month. Scrooge took a hesitant sip, then sighed as he recognized the tea's quality.
"Ah, you can taste the savings."
By then, you were starting to wake up. Your foggy mind was clearing with each sip of caffeine, and your brain was starting to recognize the scene playing out before you. Mrs. B didn't bring up the tea...
"What do you think about sword horses?" Webby questioned as Scrooge glanced over at you.
"Where'd yeh learn to call them that, exactly?" He asked with a smile.
"Aunt (Y/n)-"
Your cup shattered against the table, spilling the light brown contents across the mahogany surface. You gasped as you stood, your mind finally working at full capacity after you'd fully woken up. Your (e/c) eyes slid past the shocked faces looking at you and straight to the kitchen doorway, which you made for without hesitation.
"(Y/n)!" You heard Scrooge call as two pairs of flippers tailed you.
You ignored them, choosing to instead throw the doorway open with a slam. The kitchen was, unfortunately, exactly as you expected. A wreck.
The diamond paned window over the sink was shattered, and its remains were strewn across the tiled floor. Glassware was similarly broken all around, and all manner of food was decorating the walls. None of this was as important as the obvious clue that you made a beeline for as Donald screamed from within the pantry, where he had been stuck since last night.
You crouched down, quickly scooping up the single black feather that was laying isolated on the tile. You sighed as Scrooge and Webby looked over your shoulders.
