"Prince Ethan has still not returned home and we have some footage of the royal family giving an interview about the situation." I hear the reporter lady say as I start to wake up. I must've fallen asleep with the T.V. on. The next thing on the screen was the King and Queen. "We just want Ethan and the rest of the kingdom to know how proud we are of our son," The King says. "This is something I have always wanted to do as a Prince but never had the courage to do. I think what my son is doing is very noble and brave and a great way to learn how to be a better King for this amazing Kingdom. We are looking forward to his return in a few days and hear all about his incredible journey. Oh, and to hopefully meet our future daughter in law. Thank you all for your concern for our son and we love you all. Goodnight." The King and Queen wave and walk off stage.
I grab the remote and turn the T.V. off. That was incredibly sweet. I hope that Prince Ethan got to see how proud his family is of him. Maybe it would change his tune from now on.
Ethan: Good morning, Princess! Hope you are ready for our date today. I will be downstairs with your parents until you are ready!
Me: Overstepping our bounds again, are we?
Ethan: Don't make me come up there, Princess!
I giggle and throw my phone on the bed. I look for something cute to wear and hop in the shower. Once I was ready, I grabbed my phone and headed downstairs. "There she is!" My dad beams.
"Daaad!" I moan. "Hi, Ethan." I blush.
"You look incredible, Olivia." He says as he blushes at me for once.
I poke his cute little face. "Looks like I'm not the only one who gets this shade of red." I tease.
He leans in closer to me and whispers, "Don't push it, Princess." I giggle at his words.
"Alright, love birds. Can we possibly get a picture?" My mom beams.
"Mom! You act like I'm going to prom or something." I groan.
"Oh, hush up! It's just one picture!" My mom says as Ethan grabs my waist and pulls me in closer. We take a couple of pictures before finally leaving.
"Sorry about them." I say while we're in the car.
Ethan chuckles and rubs his hand on my thigh. "Don't worry about that. My parents are even bigger softies." I giggle.
"When will I get to meet your parents, Ethan?" I ask. I mean he's met mine not ever 12 hours after we met, so why hasn't he taken me to meet them yet?
"I will take you, soon. There is just a few things I have to do first." He says with a serious tone in his voice.
I rub his shoulder and look at him softly. "Are you okay? Is there something you want to talk about?" I ask.
I watch as his face changes from serious to soft. "No, I'm fine. I just want to enjoy my date with the most beautiful girl in the world." I blush and give him a soft smile. I guess I'll just let this one go for now. "Alright, first stop on the Olivia Date Day is your favorite breakfast place!" He beams as he parks the car.
My favorite place for breakfast is this small family owned business that makes the most amazing pancakes. When we get a table, the waitress (my best friend) asks us what we would like to eat. "Well, you already know what I want. Ethan, have you had enough time to decide?" I tease.
He looks up at her almost flustered. "Well, I have never been here before. What do you recommend?" He smiles at her but I can tell he's a little embarrassed so I giggle at him. I felt him kick me under the table.
My best friend, Ashley, sat down in the booth next to me. "Well, my parents make the best pancakes in the whole kingdom. Plus, we have eggs galore! So, I think I should get you the pancake special."
