"Terracotta!" She felt a talon on her shoulder. She jolted, spinning around.

"Lily!" Terracotta cried. It was her friend, Swamp Lily. "You startled me."

Her friend laughed. "I know. It's the best feeling ever, scaring you." She noticed the expression on Terracotta's face. "...But you you know I'm kidding, right?"

Terracotta nodded. "But maybe do that to some other dragon. It's not very fun for me."

Swamp Lily nodded her head in acknowledgment. "Of course, I'm sorry."

"It's all right," replied Terracotta kindly. "I now you like startling dragons. Just not me, okay? And the dragons who doesn't like it, either?"

  "'Kay!"

"Anyway..." Terracotta turned back towards the silhouette again. "See that dragon shadow over there? I wanna see who it is."

"Yes, let's go," Swamp Lily said without hesitation.

Terracotta and Swamp Lily cautiously walked across the savannah to the silhouette, both thinking, who is that? why are they here? they don't look like any tribe from Pantala or Phyrria...

As the dragonets approached the stranger, they turned, and the first thing Terracotta saw was the scowling, but beautiful face of the dragon. The stranger's head consisted of a lot of horns. There were horns on her nose, multiple horns on each side of her head, and smaller horns above her eyes. The dragon's scales were a rich midnight blue, with her wings, tail, and snout fading from the blue into light gold in an ombre style. Her wings were curved in an arc shape, and it looked like it was for more agility in flight. Her tail was prehensile, like RainWings. On her side was a pouch big enough to fit four melons. Terracotta's breath caught. The dragon was both terrifying and beautiful at the same time.

"H-hello?" Terracotta stalked up to the new dragon, stopping two tail lengths apart.

The dragon paused, opened her snout as if to say something, then seemed to have a second thought, and closed it. When the dragon didn't say anything, Terracotta introduced herself. "I'm Terracotta, and this is my friend Swamp Lily. What's your name, and what are you doing on Pyrrhia? You don't seem like you're from any of the tribes here, or a hybrid..."

The dragon seemed to see something in Terracotta, for her eyes widened in... something. Terracotta wasn't sure. The dragon opened her mouth. This time, she didn't close it, but a soft, beautiful, smooth voice came drifting out.

"Hello," said the dragon, softly. "My name is Hatheara. You may call me Hath. I come from the land of Pomria. Have you heard of it?"

The dragonets both shook their heads. But then a thought struck Terracotta. She'd read about a faraway continent called the land Hath spoke of once. Pomria. It was supposedly a legend, much like Pantala, but a bit more far away, on the opposite side of Pyrrhia. Hath must be from there! Terracotta became excited by the thought.

"Uh, Hath," Terracotta ventured. "I read about your land a bit once. The book said the continent was really far away. How did you manage from there to here? How'd you survive?"

"Oh, uh. I followed a map here." Hath took out a yellowing rolled-up map from her pouch. She handed it to Terracotta. Terracotta unrolled it, and she and Swamp Lily took a good look at it.

The map consisted of a land full of bunch of scribbled words, lines of all sorts, and a lot of forests on the bottom. That must be Pomria, thought Terracotta. Then there were smaller islands in the ocean under it. At t eh very bottom of the map, there was the most northern tips of Pyrrhia-- the Ice Kingdom, and the northern part of the Sky Kingdom.

"Wow," Terracotta said inhushed voice, giving the map back. "That's a complicated map in my opinion. You must be a really good navigator."

Hath nodded. "My father was an adventurer, and he taught me how to read maps. Back then, my mother had passed away while giving birth to me. Then, when I'd just turned five, he did too." She paused, wiping a tear from her eye. Then she continued, "A couple days after he passed away, I found the map in a secret compartment in a drawer of his. I brought some essentials with be, like this map, and followed it to here. The map's all I've got left of him. The rest are still in my hut, hopefully not damaged or anything. I hope my village's dragons take care of it while I'm gone. That's what we do in our village, help each other."

"Well, Hath, I'm really sorry about your parents," Terracotta said, trying to make Hath feel better.

"It's all right. You couldn't have done anything about it," Hath replied, sniffling a bit. "And I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but can we please not about it anymore?"

"Yeah, yeah, of course," Swamp Lily quipped in.

"What tribe are you from, Hath? Since you're not from here, I'm curious," Terracotta said. "And what other tribes are there, on Pomria?"

"Let's see, first," said Hath, "there's the WiseWings, the SilentWings, the swiftWings, and my tribe-- the SecretWings."

Alright, so the tribe names aren't that good, but I'm making a whole new continent, so bear with me. Sorry there wasn't a note in the last chapter. This chapter was also kinda short, so bear with me about that, too. Comment down below, and I love y'all~ - Dana -
