Everything was fine, they were happy, finally happy after so long of not being okay, they were fine, they had gone back to work and it was fine, she was fine, he was fine, they were happy, they were fine - they were not fine, everytime they walked into the baby room and saw all the kids they were hit with a why not me?
They were not fine, they both had become withdrawn with each other, they didn't talk, they just smiled and hummed nodding their heads pretending everything was fine even though it was in fact not fine, reece was not fine, marjorie was not fine, they were not fine, they were still hurting, the loss of luna Wren knight fresh on their hearts.
It would take awhile for them to finally reach the point of being able to breathe without a pain in their chest, it would take a while for them to come to the fact that they had lost their baby. The point is they were not fine and they were pushing each other away more and more everyday, they shouldn't, they really shouldn't, it was not healthy but they didn't think they just did.
Both Marjorie and reece didn't want to hurt anymore and they had both got lost in their own pain that they failed to recognise the other, they had gotten more snappy with each other, more withdrawn, what once was a night filled with hugs was now a night filled with distance, Marjorie never slept in reece's arms anymore, they both were missing it deeply.
They woke up and got dressed everyday giving each other the cold shoulder, not acknolodging one another just surviving, it became so bad to aa point where autumn pulled both reece and marjorie up on it but she got the same reaction from both of them - a shrug of their shoulders and then brushing the claims off.
They were not fine, A part of marjorie hated reece for telling her it was going to be fine, promising her that it was going to be okay but the other part of her just wanted to collapse in his arms and sob her heart out, sob for the little girl they never had the chance to love or hold, maybe sometimes you need to snap in order to heal.
Maybe sometimes a partners love is just not enough to be able to heal, or maybe they were never going to heal from this, their minds would be haunted with their little girl, Luna wren knight, and what she would of looked like when she was older. would this be the case for them? Would they have to snap to be able to heal. or would they never get over this pain.
