Melissa's POV
Well- Aphmau took off real quick, I really hope she doesn't get lost. Eh, don't think she will, I described the directions to Aaron's physical therapy place really well.
*Stomach rumbles*
Ugh, I'm starving I better grab some food. Ehehehe Lucinda, she's right there grabbing food, it's alright! I can't embarrass myself just by getting some food right? As I reached out to get a hotdog, let's be honest, multiple hotdogs, my hand bumped into Lucinda's hand and hers toppled to the floor.
"Ahh- I'm so so sorry Lucinda, I didn't see you were trying to grab one too," I exclaimed, reaching down to grab the hotdog. I felt my heart racing once again, blood rushing to my cheeks. Why am I always so nervous around her??
"It's alright! I know it was a total accident, no need to apologize."
S-She was blushing too, does that mean..?
Before I even had time to think, I realized she reached down to grab it too, my hand was touching hers again.. I felt like I was going to faint her skin was smoother than I had imagined. Everything about her is so perfect. My mind is wandering again, I really should say somethi-
"Looks like we had the same idea," Lucinda says lifting her hand off mine, allowing me to toss her hotdog.
"Haha, looks like we had the same idea indeed, now let's get you a new hotdog shall we?"
I finally got some good words out, I have to stop blushing so hard or someone's going to notice. But I have to admit to myself, Lucinda is very cute, and her voice is.. seductive to say the least. I have to figure out how to go forward with this. How does she manage to be this calm?
Lucinda's POV
How am I managing to stay so calm? I am most definitely NOT calm our hands touched.. This all seems so childish but I got flustered from just that. When I was crushing on Ivan it was never like this. Everything is so different with Melissa, I've never felt this way before, perhaps love at first sight is real. I was zoned out for a while, just thinking.
"Hey Lucinda! Let's go eat over there," Melissa shout in my direction, it shook me back to reality.
I followed Melissa, trying to get my mind off how sweet her voice was and how fluffy her tail looked... I was staring at her tail.. at her.. Let's stop thinking about that! It's rude to stare, I really hope she didn't notice.
"Whatchaa lookin at beautiful?"
Ohhh no, she noticed I can't say I was looking at her behind, come on Lucinda come up with an excuse quick!
"I w-was just looking at the sunset! Yeahh, the view is amazing up here."
"You're right, the sunset is beautiful."
Phew, I saved myself, I should probably stop staring at her..
Her hand inched closer to mine as we sat eating our hot dogs watching the sunset. We were holding hands, oh my Irene I can't believe this is actually happening, she put her hand on top of mine. We talked for a while, I wanted to sit there and enjoy her company forever.. This must be love.
"Lucinda! We're going to find Aphmau and Aaron and make sure they're okay, wanna come?" Garroth shout, I quickly swept my hand away from Melissa's, I didn't want to give anyone any hints. I know our friend group tends to ship people.
"I'm so sorry, I had a great time, but we have to find them. We want to make sure they're ok, just us who went to the lodge.." I whispered to Melissa.
"It's okay! I fully understand, let me know how it goes with Aarmau, I'll see you later?"
"You will for sure!"
Melissa shot me a cheeky look as I left with Garroth, Zane and Kim. I realized I was blushing the whole time.
