I feel a satisfaction with the world that feels more precious and more intense than any adrenaline rush. That grounded feeling in the here and now, that optimism mixed with the delusion that I can make the world a better place. By world, I mean people and the environment.
For once, my mind isn't lingering somewhere in the past or the unknown future. I am here. I exist. Here and now.
