Evil just kills itself or gets itself killed.
Very anti-climactic.
The protagonist does wonderful things for the world but also just decides to get rid of all the biomes except for tropical forests and temperate forests.
The love interest is just apathetic.
Just there for work.
The protagonist ensures that the love interest has erectile dysfunction for life and has no desires whatsoever.
Except for food, water, etc.
Whoever he develops a bond with disappears from his life because they, too, have moved on. Built a family. Grow old.
