The protagonist saves the entire world. Does not stop the cyclical nature of humanity because she has too much compassion for the evil who were probably traumatized or shaped by their environment. Instead, she punishes them. They get to keep being themselves, and even through endless punishment, they still get the satisfaction of living life on their own terms.
She wonders what's the point when she didn't end up living happily ever after.
Felt as if humanity received all the benefits.
Makes her love interest and his lover, their friends and family, suffer the way she did.
