Seerat could have kill the woman in front of her in hundred different ways. It was the 35th take and still she was not seeming even a little bit passionate towards the scene. her anger bubbling beneath the surface. But she restrained herself, knowing that this woman wasn't just anyone-she was the sister of the movie's producer.
"Cut!" Her voice boomed through the microphone.
The actors immediately separated, startled by the sudden command.
Seerat observed them for a moment, her thoughts churning, before rising from her chair. "Pack up. The next scene will be shot next week." Her words left everyone stunned.
Only two scenes had been filmed today, though twelve were scheduled. Yet now she was calling it a day.
She stormed into her vanity van, with her manager, Gaurav, trailing nervously behind.
"Ma'am, we still have twelve more scenes to shoot," Gaurav said, his voice edged with concern.
Seerat's icy gaze made him tremble. "Send Shivani in," she ordered. Gaurav nodded quickly and exited the van.
Seerat took a deep breath and massaged her scalp with her fingers, closing her eyes. She was exhausted but seething with anger.
The door of the vanity van opened, and Shivani, the casting director, walked in."You called for me, ma'am?" she said nervously.
Seerat laced her fingers together, her gaze piercing as she delivered the bombshell: "I want a replacement for Ruby within two days."
Shivani's eyes widened in shock. "But ma'am, Ruby is perfect for this movie. We've already signed her, so-"
"Who's directing the movie, Shivani? You or me?" Seerat's tone was sharp, cutting through Shivani's protest.
Shivani lowered her head, biting her lower lip in nervousness. "It's you, ma'am."
"Good. Now go find a replacement, and tell Ruby not to come to the shoot again," Seerat ordered, her voice leaving no room for argument.
Shivani nodded and left the van, closing the door behind her, leaving Seerat alone.
Seerat glanced at her reflection in the mirror, scrutinizing her appearance one last time. Her light brown eyes sparkled with determination. She pinned the soft curls falling onto her face back into her bun. Applying a nude lipstick, she pressed her lips together to blend it. Her tight blue jeans and black shirt, tucked under a sweater, added allure to her look.
