I took a deep breath, giving myself one last look in the mirror.
The reflection staring back at me was confident, composed, and every bit the woman I needed to be today.
The black open coat paired with matching pants exuded a sense of authority, while the white T-shirt tucked in gave the outfit a chic, modern edge. My hair, straightened and parted in the middle, framed my face perfectly, cascading down to my waist. The minimal makeup, with just a hint of brown lipstick on my lips, was understated yet striking. The diamond earrings and simple pendant added the right touch of elegance, nothing too flashy, just enough to complete the look.
I felt a surge of confidence. Today was important, and I needed to present myself at my best. The trailer launch was a significant event, and with everything that had happened recently-the scandal, Nathaniel-I needed to show the world that I was still in control, still on top of my game.
"Thank you, Rashi. You did an amazing job," I said, genuinely appreciative.
She smiled, her eyes bright with pride. "It's my pleasure, ma'am. You look stunning."
I nodded, watching as she gathered her things. "I'll just go check on Natasha, see if she needs anything," she added before slipping out of the room, leaving me alone in the backstage area.
I exhaled slowly, letting the silence wash over me. The venue was buzzing with activity just beyond the door, but here, in this small space, it was just me and my thoughts.
My mind wandered back to last night. Nathaniel's message, his gift, the intensity of his words-it all replayed in my head like a movie on loop. His declaration that he was coming for the penalty made my heart went wild jn my chest.
I sighed deeply and leaned back in the chair, letting the weight of the moment settle over me. The buzz around the movie was undeniable; everyone was talking about it. The hype from just the poster and teaser launch alone made it clear-this was going to be a hit.
