THE FIRST TIME Yuuto met Shino was when he first stepped into the Nijimura residence.
Yuuto and Nijimura were already a couple, and one day, Nijimura was absent because he had the flu. Yuuto had come by to bring him some homemade soup and medicine. When he knocked on the door, Shino was the one who answered.
"Hello! My name is Hiraoka Yuuto. It’s nice to meet you, Nijimura-san!" he introduced himself, respectfully bowing. "Uhm, well. I’m here to see Shuzō-chan. I heard he was sick, so I came by to see how he was doing."
Shino’s eyebrows furrowed at the nickname, but before he could comment, Shuzō appeared beside him, opening the door wider so Yuuto could see him.
Shuzō, who had staggered down the stairs to get a glass of water from the kitchen, immediately felt a burst of energy when he heard Yuuto's voice at the door. When he was in his bed, he had been wishing that Yuuto would be with him, and now that he was here, he wanted nothing more than to see him.
"Hey, w-what are you doing here?" he asked, face flushed and breathing heavily.
Yuuto’s face brightened when he saw Shuzō. He lifted the paper bag he was holding, a wide grin on his face. "I brought soup for you, Shuzō-chan!"
Shuzō didn't know if it was his fever, but he felt like melting when he heard that. Resisting the urge to kiss Yuuto right then and there, he let him into the house. Yuuto, of course, paid his respects to Shino as he entered.
“We'll just be in my room,” Shuzō informed his dad, taking Yuuto's wrist and pulling him up the stairs.
Shino could only nod as the two went to Shuzō’s room, but inside, he couldn't shake the bad feeling he had about Hiraoka Yuuto.
As soon as they entered Shuzō's room, Shuzō closed the door and immediately pushed Yuuto against it. He was about to lean in, and place his lips on his, but he stopped midway. “Crap. I don't want you to get sick too, but I want to kiss you.”
Shuzō's bluntness caused Yuuto's cheeks to heat up. “A-Are you always this straightforward?”
“Well, I missed you, so pardon my straightforwardness.” Shuzō sarcastically apologized as his hands roamed up Yuuto’s back, getting underneath his shirt, feeling his warm skin under his fingers.
Yuuto chuckled, ruffling Shuzō’s hair with his free hand. "You've only been absent for a day, Shuzō-chan!”
Shuzō frowned almost childishly, a sight that Yuuto doesn't see everyday. “That's a day too long.”
Yuuto pecked Shuzō’s warm forehead. “You're cute, Shuzō-chan,” he gently pulled back, looking into Shuzō’s eyes. “If you don't want to miss a day being with me, then you need to get better soon.”
