-Seokjin's Pov-

"I-i..."

I sighed and took a deep breath before gently cupping his adorable face

"I-i love you...so so much."

I could tell he was more surprised as his eyes grew wider and his cheeks turned more red

"B-but it's not so long since we met s-seokie...how can you know this is love?"

"I know it's love. Everytime I see you, I want to protect you. Everytime I think of you I get worried. We might not know each for that long but I can't help it. I love you and there's nothing I can do about it" I say in a serious but fast tone. I try to act a bit cool about confessing to him but I already felt like burying myself

Namjoon looked down, clearly flustered. His hands fidgeted with the hem of his shirt, and I could see him processing my words. The silence between us stretched, and my heart pounded in my chest, each beat louder than the last.

"Seokjin..." he began, his voice soft and unsure. "I don't know what to say. This is all so sudden."

I moved closer, not breaking eye contact. "You don't have to say anything right now. I just needed you to know how I feel. And I'll give you all the time you need to sort out your feelings. I just want you to know that no matter what, I'll be here for you."

He looked up at me, eyes glistening with unshed tears. "You're so kind, Seokie. I never thought someone like you could have feelings for someone like me."

I gently wiped a tear that had escaped down his cheek with my thumb. "There's no one else I'd rather be with, Namjoon. You're everything to me."

He leaned into my touch, closing his eyes for a moment as if drawing strength from my words. When he opened them again, there was a mix of uncertainty and hope. "Can we... can we take things slow? I really want to get to know you more, Seokjin."

A wave of relief washed over me. "Of course, Namjoon. We can take things as slow as you want. Just having you by my side is more than enough."

He smiled, a small but genuine one, and nodded. "Okay. I think I can do that."

We spent the rest of the day together, the atmosphere between us lighter now that my feelings were out in the open. We talked about everything and nothing, sharing stories and laughing at little things. The weight of my confession seemed to have lifted something between us, making our bond even stronger.

As the sun began to set, we found ourselves back at the rooftop garden, the soft glow of the evening casting a warm light over everything. Namjoon leaned against the railing, looking out at the city below.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" he said softly.

I stood next to him, close enough to feel the warmth of his body. "It is. But not as beautiful as you."

He looked at me, a blush spreading across his cheeks. "You always know what to say to make me blush."

I chuckled, reaching out to tuck a stray strand of hair behind his ear. "It's the truth."

We stood there in comfortable silence, watching the city lights flicker on one by one. I felt a sense of peace I hadn't felt in a long time, knowing that Namjoon was here with me, willing to give us a chance.

As the night grew darker, I walked him back to his apartment. At his door, he turned to me with a shy smile. "Thank you for today, Seokie. I had a really good time."

"So did I" I replied, feeling my heart swell with affection.

He hesitated for a moment before stepping closer and giving me a quick hug. "Goodnight, Seokie..." He mumbles shyly before pecking my lips leaving me paralyzed for a few seconds

"G-goodnight, Namjoon...I thought you wanted to take things slow?" I said wanting to tease him a bit

"I-its a way of saying thank you!" He huffed a bit and immediately closed the door to which I chuckled

Walking back to my car, I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. Today had been a huge step forward, and I was determined to keep showing Namjoon just how much he meant to me. No matter what challenges lay ahead, I knew we'd face them together.
