Now that Zivia knew she had a father, Olivia and Zack had reached a joint custody agreement. Tomorrow was Zivia's first day of preschool, and Olivia was determined to make sure her daughter had everything she needed.
Olivia and Zivia, with Harry the beagle pup carefully fastened in the cart, headed to their local Target to buy Zivia's school supplies.

**At Target**
"Alright, Zivia, what do we need first?" Olivia asked, pulling out the shopping list.
Zivia clapped her hands excitedly. "Backpack, Mommy!"
"Backpack it is," Olivia replied with a smile, steering the cart towards the aisle with backpacks. Zivia's eyes lit up when she spotted a pink backpack with gold bows and zippers.
"This one, Mommy!" Zivia exclaimed, pointing at it.

"Great choice," Olivia said, placing the backpack in the cart.
As they moved through the aisles, Olivia and Zivia kept getting sidetracked by various items. Zivia picked out a glittery lunchbox, a sparkly water bottle, and even a nap mat with unicorns on it.
"Do we need this, Mommy?" Zivia asked, holding up a set of colorful markers.
"Not really, sweetie, but we can get them if you like," Olivia said, chuckling.
Hours passed as they wandered through the store, buying more than they needed. When they finally checked out, it was nearly 7:30 PM. Olivia's arms were sore from carrying Target, Gucci, Prada, and Swarovski shopping bags.

**At Home**
Back home, Olivia checked her watch, realizing she needed to get Zivia in bed by 8:30 to ensure she wouldn't be late for her first day of preschool. Thankfully, Grandma Eloise had already made cottage pie for dinner.
