She had been calling him for a week, hoping to extend an olive branch and rekindle a friendship despite their tumultuous past.

This weekend was significant; it was Zack's first time alone with their four-year-old daughter, Zivia. The discovery of Zivia's existence had been a shock to Zack, kept hidden from him for almost four years. Now, he was trying to build a relationship with his daughter, albeit a simple one.
A knock at the door broke Olivia's focus. She glanced up and said, "Come in."
The door opened to reveal Carter Winston, her boyfriend. A smile lit up Olivia's face as she quickly stood and embraced him. "Carter, I missed you."
"I missed you too, Olivia," he murmured, wrapping his arms around her. "I love you." They shared a kiss, but for the first time, Olivia found herself pulling away.
"How was New York Fashion Week?" she asked, trying to mask her unease.
"Liv, it was perfect. Our brand, Élégantéafford, really shone this year," Carter replied, his enthusiasm evident.
Olivia nodded, aware of their brand's success. "Yes, I saw the news. Everyone's talking about it."
Carter took a seat, looking at her expectantly. "You seem troubled, Liv. What's going on?"
Taking a deep breath, Olivia sat down across from him. "Carter, as my best friend and my love, I need to share something with you."
"Go ahead, babe. I'm listening," he said, leaning forward.
"You know how I divorced Zack after finding out he was cheating on me with my best friend, Nicole?" she began, her voice trembling slightly. "Well, it turns out it was all a setup. Nicole and Zack's aunt staged the whole thing to break us up."
Carter's eyes widened in shock. "What? Are you serious?"
Olivia nodded, explaining how Zack had discovered the truth and informed her about the scheme. "Nicole and Zack's aunt are in jail now," she concluded.
Carter's reaction was intense. "WHAT?!" he exclaimed, standing up abruptly.
"Carter, what's wrong?" Olivia asked, startled by his outburst.
"I... I need to go," he stammered, rushing out of the office before she could stop him.
Confused and concerned, Olivia tried to push the incident out of her mind and returned to her designs. Little did she know, Zack had picked up her call earlier and overheard the entire conversation. His rage was palpable as he dialed his private detective's number.
"Find everything you can on Carter Winston," Zack ordered, his voice icy. "I want to know every detail, every secret. And I want it fast."
The detective assured him he would get to work immediately. Zack hung up and leaned back in his chair, his mind racing. He was determined to protect Olivia and Zivia from any further harm.
