Chapter Nine: The Truth For Scorpion

I stood with the rest of the combatants in one of the big fighting rooms in the temple. I heard the doors open and I saw Scorpion walking in. He went over to Cyrax and Sektor and they began to talk, all of a sudden, Cyrax pushed Scorpion.

"A challenge! Scorpion against Cyrax and Sektor!" Shang Tsung announced.
"Scorpion, you dumbass, what the fuck did you do!?" I thought to myself.
"Your obsession with Sub-Zero ends here." Cyrax said.

They began to fight and soon, Cyrax was down.

"I will have my revenge of Sub-Zero, but I will not kill him." Scorpion said.
"Will not? Or cannot?" Sub-Zero asked at the open doors.

Sub-Zero began to walk in.

"You!" Scorpion said.

Sub-Zero and Scorpion were face-to-face on the fighting strip.

"The Shirai Ryu are dead. You will suffer as they did." Scorpion said.
"To hell with your clan!" Sub-Zero hissed.
"No. To hell with-"
"HANZO HASASHI AND KUAI LIANG, NO YOU MAY NOT!!!" I shouted as I teleported between the two before Scorpion could take Sub-Zero to the Netherrealm.
"Zeix, what are you doing!? You are violating the rules of Mortal Kombat!" Shang Tsung said.

I rolled my eyes and "threw" a thick piece of titanium over his lips. He began to try to take it off. I turned to Scorpion.

"Scorpion...... Zero...... there is something you two must see." I said.

I held out my hands.

"Take my hands and close your eyes. I'm going to project a vision into your minds." I said.

Sub-Zero took my hand and Scorpion hesitated, but he also took my hand. They closed their eyes and I projected images into their minds of Quan Chi killing Scorpion's clan and family. When I showed them everything they needed to see, I removed my hands from theirs and they opened their eyes. I looked at Scorpion.

"Scorpion...... Quan Chi is the real murderer behind your clan and family's deaths. He did it and framed Sub-Zero due to you two being in rival clans. It was all Quan Chi's work." I said softly.

Scorpion looked at me and he began chuckling.

"Scorpion?" Sub-Zero asked.
"Everyone back back the fuck up. He's about to lose his God damn mind." I warned the other kombatants.

Scorpion began to laugh, slowly getting louder and louder and more hysterical to the point he was laughing like a deranged and severely mentally ill psychopath. He shouted and began laughing again, holding his chest and bending over.

"I'm gonna kill that bitch! I'm gonna fucking kill him!" Scorpion laughed.

He began to sob, falling to his knees and bending over.

"WHY!?!?!?" He screamed. "WHY, WHY WHY!?!?!?" He screamed as he slammed his fists into the ground.

He began to sob uncontrollably and he suddenly fell into a full-blown panic attack, screaming at the top of his lungs.

"Okay, time for Valium!" I said as I picked him up bridal style.

When I picked him up, he instantly hugged me and sobbed in my shoulder.

"Shhh. Shhh. I got you. I got you. You're gonna be okay. You're gonna be okay. I got you, bestie." I said calmly as I walked outside.

I summoned an invisible barrier that will keep us dry from the rain and I took him to a hidden part of the island. I set him down on the ground and he was still hyperventilating and crying. I summoned my bottle of liquid Valium and a syringe and I filled the syringe with a safe amount of Valium that would calm Scorpion down. I crouched down next to him and I poked the needle into his shoulder and I injected the medicine into him. I transported the bottle of Valium and the syringe away and I sat down. I moved Scorpion so that he was lying down with his head on my lap. I rubbed his arm and comforted him as he slowly calmed down. He was taking deep breaths.

"There you go. There you go. That's it. You're doing great. Deep breaths. Deep breaths." I said softly.

A couple deep breaths later, Scorpion's panic attack was fully faded away. He sighed.

"There. You feel better?" I asked.

He only nodded.

"I'm exhausted." Scorpion said.
"I know. That was really not the reaction I was expecting." I said.

He sighed again.

"How did you know?" Scorpion asked.
"What's that?" I asked.
"How did you know about this? How did you know it was all Quan Chi?" Scorpion asked.
"Because of where I'm from. Where I'm from, everyone knows about you and this place and everyone knows the truth." I explained. "I just couldn't stand there and watch you drag Sub-Zero down to the Netherrealm without you knowing that Sub-Zero was not really the one you wanted this whole time. I know you said you weren't gonna kill him, but trust me, dude. You were gonna kill him." I said.

Scorpion nodded.

"If you do not mind me asking, where are you from?" Scorpion asked.
"A completely different reality. Think of it as...... Earthrealm, but not Earthrealm. Does that make sense?" I asked.
"It does." Scorpion said.

Scorpion sniffled and sighed again.

"I feel like an idiot. How could I have spent years wanting revenge on the wrong person?" Scorpion asked.
"It is not your fault. Do not blame yourself. It's just Quan Chi is a lot more evil than you thought." I said.

Scorpion nodded. I looked at the rain.

"I admire your strength and techniques." Scorpion said.
"Thank you. You did pretty good against me." I said. "I like your technique too." I said.
"Thank you." Scorpion said quietly. "What did you say your name was?" Scorpion asked.
"Zeix." I said.
"Is it short for anything?" Scorpion asked.
"It's short for Zeixella, which my English version of the name is Zeixella Zero-Six-Isabella Black. In the Volatile version, it's Zeixella te Black Agrat'ite." I said.

Scorpion nodded.

"It's very nice to meet you, Zeix." Scorpion said.

We watched the rain for a little longer and Scorpion sat up. He rubbed his masked face and groaned.

"Ready to head back in?" I asked.
"Yeah. Let's go." Scorpion said.

We stood up and we walked back to the temple. We made it inside and right before we went back into the fighting room, I stopped him.

"Scorpion, never ever feel afraid to express your true emotions. Men's mental health matters, too." I said.
"Thank you." Scorpion said.
"Oh, and if that God awful cunt muncher of an actor bothers you about this...... Just punch that ho in the dick." I said.

Scorpion smiled.

"Will do, Zee." Scorpion said.

I smiled. We walked back in.

"I got him to calm down." I said.
"Very good, Zeix." Shang Tsung said.

Scorpion looked at Quan Chi.

"You." Scorpion growled as he pointed to him. "Your fucking time will come, bitch." Scorpion whispered.

He walked back to the Kombatants. Quan Chi looked at me with concern.

"What did you show him?" He asked.

I smirked.

"Remember how I said he kills you in the future?" I asked Quan Chi.

His face dropped. I chuckled and joined Scorpion.
