Family And Promises P2 S1

Lily's POV 

Optimus helmed me until I stopped crying. Then he took me to a park where we could talk. There weren't a lot of people there so I felt relaxed. Taking a seat on a bench he took a seat next to me and immediately looked at me. His eyes were worried but I didn't want him to be. I was sitting on the bench with my hands resting on my knees as my eyes were hurting a little.

Me: "I told you before that I had a cousin. Her name is Wendy and she is sick. She is suffering after a desire that is keeping her from walking and living a normal life. I don't say her life is boring or anything but...it's not what she deserves." 

Optimus: "And there is no cure?" 

Me: "No. Anyway, when I got inside the house I went to talk to her. I apologized for forgetting about her birthday and the plans that we had but she didn't want to listen. I get why. How could her own cousin practically a sister forget about her birthday?" 

Optimus: "Lily it can happen to anyone." 

Me: "The worst thing about all of this is that I have been ignoring her and I didn't even realize this. She told me that I have my own life and she has hers I knew what she meant by that. She taught me that I didn't want to hang out with her because I was spending all my free time with you guys. But that is not true. I love hanging out with her and cherish every moment of it. It was just that..." 

I didn't know what to say because I knew that she was right. I have been ignoring her and having fun without her with me. I knew how much spending time together meant to her. 

Optimus: "Lily I know family isn't what I know best but I know that you didn't mean it. Your life has changed a lot during the two weeks of knowing about us. I wish I could let you tell her about us so maybe she would understand you know it is too dangerous." 

Me: "I know she would love to meet you guys but you are right. It is too dangerous." 

She would be so excited to meet them. Maybe she would become great friends with Ratchet. 

Me: "Now I don't know what to do. She is angry with me and doesn't want to talk to me." 

Optimus: "Maybe she just needs time. I know you would like to fix this right now but Wnedy needs time." 

Me: "You are right." 

I said as I finally looked away from him so I could look at the beautiful sunset. 

Me: "There is something else I would like to talk to you." 

I said as I looked back at him meeting his beautiful eyes that always mesmerised me. For days I wanted to ask him about that kiss and why it happened. No, I didn't mind it, at all it was just that I did not know what to think of it. I liked Optimus a lot. But he was my guardian and my friend. I didn't want to ruin anything by asking why the kiss happened. 

Optimus: "I know." 

The tension inside of me raised as I suddenly became nervous. Why was I nervous now? So nervous that I did not know what to do. 

Optimus: "The kiss." 

I slowly nodded as I looked down at my hands. But then I pack up the courage to look at his face. I could see that he was a bit worried about what to say but if I knew Optimus I knew that he would try to be as polite and understanding. 

Optimus: "Me kissing you and placing hands on you was unprofessional. I am a leader of Autobots but I am your guardian and I should keep you safe." 

Me: "And you did. You have been keeping me safe ever since you became my guardian."
