Joey's POV

Arcee: "Thanks for walking me home Joey. You're a real gentleman."

Me: "I don't want you revived up before bedtime. I also do not want to wake up Mom and Alice."

I said as I approached the garage doors and began to lift them up. They broke again but I did not have time to fix them. A lot has been going on in base and also I was busy with work. I was trying to earn as much money as possible so I could help mom out with bills. But the moment I picked up the doors and pushed them up there I saw Mom waiting in her PJs. With her hands crossed and her look, I knew that she was mad.

Mom: "Joey."

Me: "Mom."

Mom: "Do you realize what time it is?"

Not really. I have no idea what time it is.

Me: "Am yeah. Well, I-"

Mom: "I got a call from school that told me that you have been missing the last class today."

Me: "Well that is because-"

Mom: "Tell me that the rumors are not true Joey. Tell me you are not in a gang again."

Me: "What?! No. No. Where did you hear that?"

Mom: "Small town. People talk. I work in an emergency room, Joey. I have seen what can happen. So if it happened again please tell me."

Me: "No. No. My friends are not a bad crowd. They are everything but that."

There was no way I was getting back to that. I gave my dad a promise.

Mom: "Even though you are 18 and you can make your own decision I want you to be a good role model for your sister. She looks up at you Joey. I do not want her and myself to be worried for you each time you sit on that bike and drive off."

With that, she turned around and left inside the house. A long sight left my mouth.

Arcee: "I am sorry Joey."

Me: "Don't be. This is not your fault."

I said as I pushed her inside the grange completely so I could close the doors behind us.

Arcee: "Would you like to talk about it?"

Me: "No. Not today."

I said and then walked to the doors.

Me: "Good night Arcee."

Arcee: "Night Joey."

She was the only one I told about my past. Eli, Lily, and Blear did not know about it as the rest of the Autobots as well. Only Arcee. She told me a lot about her past and after we started to date I wanted her to know everything about me. So I told her. I wasn't surprised that she wasn't blaming me. But I think that she should. I did a lot of bad stuff.

Next day...

Arcee's POV

I was busy kicking cons buts when a call came. I immediately knew that it was Joey.

Phone call...

Me: "Hello?"

Joey: "Arcee? You wouldn't be in the garage right now?"

Me: "Negative, Joey. Can we talk about this later?"
