Can't Be As Before P1 S1

Lily's POV 

Eli: "Hey Lil."

Me: "Hey."

 She placed her hands around me and we hugged each other. Then I took a seat back behind the table and Eli took a seat in front of me placing her bag on the ground next to her legs.   

Eli: "Did you order?"

Me: "No, not yet."

At just that moment the waiter came to us and we both ordered coffees. As he left Eli looked at me as she placed her hands on the table crossing her fingers. 

Eli: "You have no idea what happened last night."

Me: "Do tell."

Eli: "I didn't tell you this, but I am a racer."

Me: "A racer? Really?"

I asked in shock. I had no idea.

 Eli: "Yeah, but because of the drama that happened yesterday I have to quiet for a bit."

Me: "So what happened?" 

She began to explain everything that happened yesterday, how she and Bee went on a date and got into a little argument because she was a racer. How she was kidnapped by Knockout and...

Eli: "Bumblebee was coming after us and he almost reached us when there came Optimus and he pushed Knockout off the road and-"

She suddenly stopped talking. 

Eli: "I'm sorry Lil." 

Me: "Why? Is okay." 

I said as I picked my coffee up and took a sip. I was more of a tea person but coffee right now tasted good. My taste in food and drinks has changed over the past few weeks. Who knows the reason why? 

Eli: "No it's not. And you know it. Blear is right. It's not the same anymore." 

Me: "What are you talking about? We see each other every day and I see Joey and Blear in school." 

Eli: "Lily I am talking about Optimus."

I looked away from her and placed my mug back on the table. The taste of the coffee disappeared out of my mouth as I heard his name. 

Eli: "You know he hasn't been the same since you left." 

I looked at her but I did not find words to say. I just wanted to listen to her talk. I didn't want to talk about him. Because...it still hurt. I thought that leaving him and the team would make me feel better but it didn't. Not even a little. 

Eli: "He is still a great leader and all but he is not fully there. He might pretend that he is but we can see that he is missing you." 

Hearing her say that he was missing me only made me feel guilty. 

Eli: "Sometimes he would just leave the base for hours." 

About that, I knew why and where he was going. He was coming to check on me. He wouldn't come to the doors of my house and ask how I was. He would stay in his truck mode and just wait for the moment to see me before driving away. 

Eli: "Do you think you made the right choice by leaving the team and leaving him?" 

Me: "You say that like there has been something with us." 

Eli: "It was. It still is Lily." 

Me: "Come on Eli get real. The feelings were building from one side."
